This handles great and is very responsive. I also have a mavic zoom so I was thinking I would not like at all. I was able to fly out 2000ft with no loss of signal. It’s a great drone!

Never really flew a drone before so I was really skeptical paying this much for a first drone. After reading a lot of good reviews I ended up buying one anyway and boy I did not regret it.
After reading just a small bit of instructions and updating software it was ready to fly. And fly it did. So effortlessly and easy that you really have to try for it to crash. It’s unbelievable how stable it is even on a breezy day.
The software is loaded with all kind of settings so it took me a couple days familiarizing to adjust what is best. This drone comes with front, back, and bottom sensors for peace of mind flying. It has sport mode(faster and fun) to turn off all sensors automatically once you become better.
I have already made a drone video of our family at a beach and everyone was impressed of the quality from it. I was able to fly this pretty far at some point it was couple miles out. Make sure the mobile device is plugged in with the remote and not use WiFi as I found its range very limited. I went with DJI as they are well known to make quality drones and I’m very satisfy thus far.
Pros-
DJI Is A Proven Drone Company
Good 4K Camera
Decent Battery Life(21mins)
High Quality Built
Very Sharp Looking
Very Easy To Fly
Cons-
Cost High For A First Drone
Software Needs An Update

As they say, the best camera is the one you have with you and this is small enough to keep with you all the time. Can you say, easy to fly!!! This drone is awesome, good range, fast (top speed to date 42.8 mph) and the pictures and videos are awesome. If you are looking for a good drone to get started or already experienced but want portability, this is the drone for you!!!

I'm not a professional drone pilot. I'm just out having fun, enjoying the flight experience and taking occasional scenic videos. I've bought the toys and fun with them. I did a ton of drone research. Focused on DJI. Found the Mavic Air was the best pre-professional drone for me. More than the Spark, less (but more) than the Mavic Pro/Platinum. In my opinion, for the type of drone consumer I am, the Air takes it! Easy to fly, fast, great features and very quite (regardless of what the Platinum pilots say:). Sooo much fun and it takes GREAT 4K video shots, no fuss, no muss. Price point on Fly More package is excellent. I highly recommend if you are a casual drone consumer looking for fun with great features and video quality!

Easy to use, won’t let you crash, follows my off-road truck with ease, insanely easy to get great footage, zero complaints. Brother has the Mavic 2 zoom, and wishes he bought air cause of the price difference and how small mine is. Would 100% reccomend, and night footage is really good as well.

I guess I’ve had this thing for about a month and it is impressive! Just having a new point of view on your world is extraordinary! It’s incredibly easy and intuitive to fly. The tracking modes or follow me are the real star. Sometimes they do lose you and stop following, however when it stops it just pauses and safely waits for you to tell it what to do next. The smart capture modes allow easy creation of epic selfies and shots that reveal a much larger scene than your intended point of focus resulting in epic cinematic results. Battery life seems to be as rated. I’ve never had the low battery warning come on and felt like, “That’s it?”. I definitely recommend the fly more combo. The bag is far better than what you get with the standard set up, the extra batteries are great (Total 3 rather than 1), I intend to buy a fourth battery eventually. The internal memory is great for the moments you forget to bring, or erase your memory card. But it is only 8 Gigs and is not a substitute for a micro-SD Card.
Perhaps the best feature of this drone is it’s compact size. Folded it’s about the size of the Spark, but almost as capable as the MavicPro. You do have to fold the legs in order. To open it’s, “Rear, rear, front, front”... Don’t forget to flip down the legs as they are antennas that help increase transmission range to the remote control. To close it, fold down the legs, then reverse the sequence. “Front, front, rear, rear”. The main thing is to watch the orientation of the propellers. Once closed there are parts of the front legs and gimbal cover that interfere with the rotation of the blades. I’m not sure if this is intentional to keep them from sticking out in any direction at anytime, or an oversite and an annoyance. I can’t imagine with the thought and engineering that went into this product that anything was unintentional.
In short, this drone is the Goldielocks Drone, right size, right in the middle of the price range and nearly full featured. I would recommend this product to anyone not just a friend!

I previously had a DJI Phantom 3 4K model, which I loved until it crashed after a long winter of non-use. I needed another drone ASAP so I went ahead and purchased this.
I was really concerned that the size was going to be an issue for stability, especially in high winds.
The day of purchase, I took it out to a park in pre-thunderstorm conditions and the drone did a great distance, stayed steady as a rock and the batteries lasted pretty well too.
It flies so much easier than my Phantom drone did, it's like autopilot. And the size makes it so convenient to show up almost anywhere and be inconspicuous.

This drone is great. Super easy to fly once you learn the basic control layout, which is customizable. It can pretty much fly itself! It’s extremely stable in the air even in moderate winds. The camera is amazing. DJI has some very good gimble and camera technology that pair together to take stunningly smooth videos and extremely detailed photos. I’ve had mine for over 3 weeks and I’ve had two minor crashes but it works fine still. Extremely great drone and the price is justifiable due to its amazing camera, flight technologies, and stabilization compared to cheap knock off drones.

I chose this drone over the Spark and Mavic Pro for its size, features, and its ability to stabilize during high wind speed. I flew my Mavic Air at the beach and was able to capture stable 4K video footage at winds of about 10mph. I have a Phantom drone also, but I really wanted a drone that I can travel with without having to haul one of that size thru security and customs. So it was either the Mavic Pro or Air. Would’ve gone with the Spark, but I’ve heard better reviews with the Mavics.

Great professional quality equipment. First drone for me. Mavic Air Fly is small, compact and very well built unit. Easy to navigate for a novice and you can navigate it by hand gestures vs remote. (You can get detailed setup and instructions on flying on youTube.) Quality of photos and videos are great! It is a bit loud while in fly mode, but so as the other drones.

Pros: Portable. Durable. Responsive controls. 4k vid. The DJI Go 4 app doesn't take up much phone storage. Can save vid and pic directly to micro SD, phone cache, and up to 8gb on drone itself. Fly more combo came with a great carrying case, extra batteries, and other items that I'm happy I ordered.
Cons: battery life 20 min. No overhead obstacle avoidance.
Overall: The Mavic Air is a great drone. If you're an experienced pilot, or beginner, this is a great option. I do wish the battery life was longer, and that there was overhead obstacle avoidance. In most scenarios you won't need overhead obstacle avoidance, but it would've been a nice feature. Otherwise, I'd rate it 10/10 !

This is the first drone I have owned and literally have flown it less than 40mins and I love it. Great pics and video easy to fly. The 20 min of flight time, which is the only negative I could find prior to ownership, has not been an issue. I bought the complete kit version which I strongly recommend as you will use everything that comes with it (extra batts and charger) I plan to use this extensively over and around water so I also bought the lens kit for the camera. Nd filters etc etc. For me this was the perfect drone for the money and DJI couldn’t make it easier with the app to fly.

This is my first dji drone. I have several from yuneec, and some other less known companies. I have many hours of flight time logged with the yuneec q 500, and close to 100 with the inexpensive breeze. I use the breeze as a travel drone, ( compact, easy to fly). I bought this as an upgrade for the breeze, which it is. It has better image quality, and longer range! This drone uses wifi to connect to your phone just like the breeze, and although the dji go 4 app is better than the breeze, it too has issues!! On my first several flights, I experienced wifi signal issues. I lost connection once, and had strong interference twice. I have to say it is easy to fly, has a good remote control and the app is full of information. The drone is built well!! For $1000., I had high expectations. The breeze was $200. Time will tell just how useful the mavic air is! I am disappointed with the wifi issues. I will update this review after I have some more serious flight time.

The camera makes awesome video and pictures. The craft is very stable specially when hovering to make pictures. The beginner mode is also good for first times pilots. I have an older DJI phantom 2, the Mavic has a lot more technology built in with the front and back sensors to stop the aircraft before it runs into something, and it is much smoother flying. Also the sport mode is good if you want to go fast. But beware the sensors are off in sport and you could crash, I would not recommend a first time pilot to fly in sport mode.

I’ve had it about a month now and this thing is incredible, mid range in drone price but great picture. Got the SD card and can shoot in 4K. Came with case and three batteries, work in solar and can get some incredible aerial shots and video. With three batteries @ around 20m ea it’s more than enough for novice and pros alike. Gimbal on drone gives you some beautiful steady shots, and when you get bored you can put it in sports mode and chase some hawks if you want. Thank DJI!

Amazing First Drone So Far!

This was my first drone purchase and I couldn’t be happier with the Mavic Air. Out of the box it was ready to fly but I would absolutely recommend the Fly More combo simply for the extra batteries. To go out to the park and fly the drone with one battery at about 18-21 minutes of flight time just isn’t enough. The fly more combo also comes with a nice carrying bag and the charging HUB which makes everything compact and portable.
My main reason for choosing this drone was the portable size for travel combined with the 4k video and flight control functions. I’ve never used the Mavic pro but in all the comparisons I looked at, for the pricing and video quality, anything afforded by the extra price of the Pro felt like diminished returns.
So far I’ve flown the drone twice and there is a learning curve. I keep watching YouTube videos on how to use functions and how to get the most out of my drone in the safest way. I’m giving this 5 stars because I absolutely love it and feel like DJI made a quality product for the amateur drone photographer. For anyone less tech savvy or unwilling to put in a little extra time to learn the Mavic Air’s features, I would recommend a more beginner level drone. I hope this helps!

I found the Mavic air a really stable and easy to manage drone. Does everything you want it to do from beginner to expert. Sturdy and well built, and the fly more combo is a great way to option this. 3 batteries, multi charger, extra props and connectors, and cases for all. I looked at many many drones, for less and more $$ and settled on the Mavic Air Combo as a best buy. You need nothing more to get all the drone action you want at a fair price. Images are amazing.
