honestly, this was too overrated! once i saw the RONIN SC on sale i had to return this phone gimbal and get a gimbal for my actual camera

Doesn’t come with adapter for iPhone 12. No option to buy one either.

I returned this because I couldn’t get it to stabilize.

DJI is known for leading the market in stabilizers. With this being the 4th iteration of its mobile gimbal serious i have to say i was a little disappointed. First i will start off with the good thins about this gimbal and say that it might work for some people. It does have great build quality, it is very compact, and the DJI companion app works well in conjunction with it. There are two main reasons that it does not work all that well for me. The first one is how it mounts to your phone. This was supposed to be a great new feature that allows you to easily magnetically connect your phone to the gimbal. The problem for me is that the phone holder mount falls off and does not correctly hold my phone with a case on it. I tried it both on an iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone SE (2nd Gen) If i remove my case this is not a problem but then my phone is no longer protected. I should mention that my case is just a normal slim phone case. Even when used on a smaller phone with a case it also did not work. A secondary mount is included which can connect to a phone or case with an adhesive but the problem with that is then you are no longer able to wireless charge your phone with it on the back. The second downfall to this product is the active track. This could just be a problem i am having since i have seen other reviews of it working perfectly fine. But in my testing the active track had trouble keeping up with the subject, It did work sometimes but not all of the time. As i previously mentioned this stabilizer might work for some people if you do not use a case on your phone or plan on wireless charging but in my case this is a serious downfall.

Sadly it’s not what I’ve expected. Expected more from this Gimbal. Do not recommend.

I could not configure it with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. It did not pair correctly.

The DJI OM 4 is a well made product, but needs improvement. The DJI comes packed nicely with all the accessories you need, including a small stand and a nice carrying bag. The device is very well constructed and feels good to hold in your hand. There are 2 options for mounting your phone to the device... You can either attach the removable magnetic clamp, or you can attach a more permanent magnetic ring that stays on your phone. The downside to the ring, is that it has to be attached directly to the phone, so you won’t be able to use a phone case anymore. The DJI has a nice rubber grip, that makes it easy to hold. There are a few different buttons, including a joystick to control the movement, and a zoom in/out slider on the left side. I'm not crazy about the location of the zoom slider, it feels a little out of place and isn't easy to reach for left-handed people. There is also a USB 2.0 port, which can be used to charge your phone. The DJI connects to your phone through bluetooth and the DJI app. Through this app, is where the DJI really starts to shine. The app turns your phone's camera into a software powerhouse, with all the different effects/filters it offers. There are also gesture controls, which lets you take a picture using specific gestures. This feature is a hit or miss, half the time it registers your gesture, the other half it doesn't. Maybe this will be improved in future updates... When you first try to shoot with the gimbal attached, it takes a minute to get used to it. At first it feels like the camera is going all over the place, but when you look over the footage, it actually looks decent. With that being said, there are many times that the arm just starts swinging and loses the subject you're trying to film. This becomes very annoying, and makes it hard to use. The joystick is supposed to let you correct this by being able to manually adjust the angle, but the motor moves way to slow to be able to keep up with anything. The best way I figured out how to keep the camera facing forward while shooting, is to use sport mode. This can be achieved by double tapping the trigger and holding it, which makes the camera stay forward. Unfortunately, this too can malfunction and the arm starts slowly swaying and drifting. Overall, I think the DJI OM4 is a solid product, with a very impressive app. This device can really turn your phone into a profession camera. While there are a few bugs that need to be ironed out, I believe these can be fixed with future updates. If and when these issues are fixed, then I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality video experience.

The OM4 is a must have for content creators! It basically turns my iphone into a multimedia creation powerhouse. The videos I create using this device look professional, with no editing required! I also have a drone, and these videos have all the features my drone does without having to tote anything around! I love the Tripod to create rock solid videos while sitting at my desk, but using this outside is my favorite. I am in love!

Great quality! A lot of cool features. Really makes for stable videography and beautiful results.

Simply Amazing. Get cinematic quality for a fraction of the cost

As part of my new recording equipment addition its a great awaome addition to mu arsenal of recording and stable pictures. Havent used many other gimbals bit this one is great especially pairing it with other Dji products like the my mini2
