I'm looking forward to filming more content with this thing as it's just really cool. I don't have any super profession reasons for using it but I do content creation on Twitch and YouTube as well has having a small child and I like just having a really easy to set up and use way of having some nice smooth and stable videos. Setup of the hardware was pretty easy but it's not incredibly apparent right away how to get started. There's a quick start guide and it tells you what to do with some pictures but the first step is to pull the hinge open. You're supposed to do it with your hands and just unfold the main hinge but it's such a tight hinge that it felt like it was supposed to be motorized to me. After I put a little extra force behind unfolding it, it felt a lot easier later on. Aside from this little hiccup, everything is pretty simple to install. The attachment to your phone just spreads open and clamps around the side of your phone. I'm using an iPhone XS Pro Max and didn't have any issues getting the bracket around my phone with a case on it. It's also pretty easy to take off. One small issue I had was knowing how the phone and gimbal should be oriented when you snap the phone to the magnet on the gimbal. It only snaps on one way. If you put it on differently than you're supposed to it'll still stick to it but it won't be lined up with the magnet so you just have to rotate the phone a bit and try again. I'm sure with practice I'll get more used to how everything should be positioned when snapping it together but it was a small issue I had initially I felt should be mentioned. Everything feels really well constructed. There's a carry bag and a small tripod included as well and if you have a smaller phone there's an extra pad that gives your phone a little extra thickness. USB-C for charging which is always nice to see these days. Operating the gimbal might take a little bit of experience. It didn't take me long since this was the first gimbal I've used but there was a bit of testing that involved the camera spinning around because I rotated it the wrong way or too far. But the stability you get is great. it's still so weird when you lock the gimbal and it sits in the same exact spot even when you move and rotate your hand a bit. The view finder looks like you took a picture but it's actually live video. There's an app that you can download pretty quickly by scanning a QR code in the quick start guide that gives you a bunch of convenience features and extra photo modes. Luckily, since the gimbal connects to your phone via bluetooth and acts as a standard remote you can still use the buttons on the gimbal in the main camera app too. But I actually didn't hate their app either. Overall, I don't have a lot of experience with other gimbals but this one works well, feels well built, doesn't have a super annoying app, works with the normal camera app via bluetooth, and has a lot of accessories. I'm a fan. If you're in the market for one of these and this is in your budget, I can recommend it.

This has been an amazing tool to help with our content creation. Stability in filming has really helped our content tremendously! My wife in particular was very shaky with the camera phone. This helped tremendously! Whether it is in her head or not this is a legit unit!

This gimble works wonders but there are some drawbacks. I purchased this gimble to use with my iPhone to vlog my trips and adventures. The gimble requires you to download the DJI app to access the additional features that come with the gimble but you are still able to use your regular camera app if you'd prefer. After using the gimble for a couple of hours it started to take a toll on me with the weight, so you don't want to be carrying this thing around forever that's for sure. As well the battery life on the gimble isn't that great compared to the older OM4 models. The max that I was able to get out of the gimble was between 6-7 hours on a full charge. Drastically less than compared to the 16 hours on the older model. Aside from the battery life the gimble works great and is easy to store. I would recommend for those taking an interest in vlogging!

I like the ease of using it so far. The only this is I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it doesn’t fit with my case so I would have to take off my case to use it. There’s a magnetic attachment on Amazon that you can use so at least there’s that!

I have DJI OM4 which I like. The new version is definitely much more compact and lighter. However the compromise in flexibility and battery life are more than what I can accept.

This device really keeps the phone stable but a major downside is that during wide angle, you can see the thing that holds it in place. Not very good. So I usually avoid wide angle because of that.

I bought this thing so that I can do some decent videos for my line of work. It turns out to have too much to offer to just keep it for business only! I find myself doing time-lapse videos of me doing odd things around the house! I enjoy it very much so!

I am in love with this gadget. Easy to use. Very stylish and versatile. With the App,there is better navigation all from using the stick. It rotates to what angle you want. It's smooth movement, and your phone sits very stable in it.

It’s a cellphone gimbal. It works well but remember to rebalance if you put a mic jack on or it will bounce and you won’t even see that it is trying to stabilize until you get the footage into editing.

My first gimbal, seems sturdy (not a tank) but holds the cell phone securely. The battery on the OM 5 last up to 6h and the previous model OM 4 lasts up to double, be aware of that. Otherwise I'm very happy with my purchase and recommend to everyone.

This is a great product to stabilize video while moving. If moving isn’t your thing, it doesn’t really make your shots better. In the app, it will recommend shots based on the subject for ideas. I like it.

I seen this advertisement for this new Om5. I had heard about how well the om4 worked from my niece who had owned one. She used it to do video blogs and vacation videos. She told me that the om5 was coming out, so we purchased it. So far we love it.

Love this thing for recording my live sons football games. I am normally so into the games that holding the phone to record is not an option. Thing thing makes recording his games so much easier.

Really nice gimbal, smooth to operate and easy to use... I wished DJI would have had the correct software on the Play store, but you can download the latest version from the DJI website. I am really looking forward to using it in the future.

This leaves very little room for improvement. The pitch down and up could be better and maybe a tad stronger motors and battery life but for the most part this is easily the best phone gimbal out there. I'm using it for remote Zoom and FaceTime meetings and while the active track APIs don't allow for integration directly into Zoom or Facetime, it's still very useable without active track. The tripod is very sturdy and I'm ok with my $1300 iPhone attached. Its not falling over even if the telescoping mechanism is engaged. If the next model comes with an integrated camera in the unit itself to bypass the need for software APIs and just let the camera physically track the subject then this gimbal will be even more desired than it already is.

This is a great gimbal for the prices and for creatives that utilize their smart phones often. The screen does freeze during video recordings at times and must be stopped and restarted because it does not record even though time continues to lapse. Once the video is stopped I have to switch views or change to photo then back to video for it to begin recording correctly. If you have the patience to deal with that depending on what you're shooting then this is a good product otherwise. I've had some pretty bad gimbals in the past so this is a definite upgrade. For what I need it for it does the job. I would buy it again.

This is a great gimbal. Unlike other gimbals such as OM 4, you can also use this as phone holder and selfie stick - which is a great use while video calling over the phone with family & friends. Highly recommended!
