I struggled with video recording while changing direction of movement. Also, the video picks up a loud motor sound when using joystick. I'm sure other will find more success than I did.

Compact gimbal stabilizer with selfie stick

If you have been using selfie sticks primarily, this will feel like a huge upgrade. You can see the quality in the build of this gimbal. It is light weight and features three powerful motors for 3-axis stabilization and negates any camera shakes and movements. It also has an extension rod that you can use as a selfie stick or for creative angle shots. The OM 5 comes with a clamp that attaches to your phone's side and then connects to the gimbal magnetically. The entire unit is so compact that you can fold and fit in your pocket or any bag for easy transport. The OM 5 comes with latest version of subject tracking, ActiveTrack 4.0. This helps is continuous tracking of the subject even when they are moving and keeps them on focus. A noteworthy feature included with this is ShotGuide. This will help you with shooting tip recommendations and create cinematographic shots. Another feature that comes handy is the Gesture Control. Instead of setting a timer, you can use hand gestures to take photos and videos. DJI OM5 is compatible with a huge list of smartphones too. So far with my limited use, I really like this gimbal and I will be using this more often to capture creative moments. If you are in the market for one, check it out.
