    I was very excited to purchase this item, unfortunately the return policy expired while I was out of the country. The Gimbal always "drifted" during most of the recordings. I looked at every forum to rectify this issue (recalibrating, full reset, etc.) and the problem occurred over and over again. The only Best Buy instructed me to do was to reach out directly with the manufacturer while still under the warranty (which has been more than a minor headache). Please find yourself another stabilizer as this will cause more frustration than it's worth.

    Was very excited to get the Osmo 5. I purchased it used, and it was supposed to have all the parts; however, the box was missing multiple pieces, so i had to return it

    Not a bad product, but it’s very limited if you want to do anything other than TikTok or Instagram videos. If you want to actually do anything on a professional level then this isn’t the gimbal for you.

    Iphone warning

    I bought this to use with the iPhone 13 and the zoom functionality doesn't work. Just a heads up in case you have a newer phone. The other functionality works as far as I can tell so far.

    Only downfall of this is that you have to use their app in order to fully use its features. It kinda losses stars cause i cant use cameras to full potential, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

As a stabilization platform, DJI OM 5 can provide equipment with basic gimbal stabilization function when DJI Mino is not connected. You can enable your camera software after the mobile phone has been mounted, and then use the gimbal stabilization function for better shooting.

    The stabilizer is NOT lefty-friendly. The tracking is a little difficult to get the hang of. Overall fun toy, but not for the impatient.

    This is an ok gimbal but is very limited in its motion. I would definitely watch some you tube videos before making a decision to purchase this gimbal.

    Purchased this fumble to use with my iPhone. It’s ok. But after watching reviews, I wish I could have gotten the Zhiyan smooth 5.

    Iphone Promax 12 users beware

    DJI OM5 I was looking forward to using it with my Iphone pro max 12, it never made a connection the phone with the DJI MIMO app. Service was absolutely no help at all. It eventually working a regular iphone 12 but I only found this out by mistake after I purchased the OM4. This also does not work with the ProMax but works with an iphone 12

Please try to reset the OM 5 (press the Switch Button, Shutter/Record Button, and Trigger at the same time and reset the Bluetooth connection) and restart the phone and try again.     I've never been able to get this to align properly, but granted I haven't spent much time trying to figure it out because of the bigger issue: there's a major flaw in the design of this gimbal. When I use it with my camera on wide angle setting, which I typically do for landscapes, part of the device shows up in frame, which obviously ruins the footage. Lesson learned: always do thorough testing of any gear or device before the return period expires or possibly be stuck with something that doesn't meet your needs.

    If I can update this on a later day I will. Currently it doesn't work with my phone (pixel 5 running android 12) the app crashes as soon as I tap on it. Was told it is catered more to iPhone users after my purchase as a lot of the features don't run so well on Android phones. Not sure when the app will be updated to support Android 12. Overall not a purchase I'm happy about.
