It couldn’t handle Iphone 11 pro max. Once i mount the motor struggles.

I cannot get it to connect to my phone. I don't know what else to try

Do not buy weak motors and hard to control! Should of done more research

The product stopped working a month after purchase.

The DJI OM is a nice gimbal stabilizer for your smartphone. The setup process was easy and user friendly. The app walked me through the entire setup. I made the mistake of not using the app to setup mine at first. By not doing so, my phone was twisting around and would not stay in an upright position. After using the app, it walked me through everything I needed to do to get it up and running. The unit has to be powered on, which will make your device stay straight. The build quickly is excellent. The included stand is great for those times when you need to mount your smartphone. The handle can also be adjusted in a telescoping position. Overall, I’m enjoying it.

I have never had a stabilizer for my phone, but I have always thought this is something that I would like to have, so I gave the DJI OM 5 3 axis gimble stabilizer a try. Well, I thought I would get to give it a try, but a couple of days after I opened the package, my 11 year daughter wanted to use it with her iphone. So, being the good dad, I let her put it through its paces and give me the details about her thoughts. I helped her set it up on her iphone xs. Setup is fairly straight forward. Download the app and create an account. Then pair the bluetooth enabled gimble stabilizer to the phone using the app. After pairing, its just a matter of figuring out what all of the buttons on the device do. This unit is really amazing. It extends, rotates and operates the functions on the phone effortlessly. It will not only rotate the phone from horizontal to vertical, but also turns the phone left and right and up and down. It works with photo mode and video mode. It also comes with a tripod stand that can easily be attached and detached. The phone itself is held in place by a clamp that stays on the phone and attaches to the stabilizer via a very strong magnet. My daughter uses this device everyday, mainly with the tripod, using facetime to talk with her friends. When I asked her if there was anything she didn't like about the DJI, the only thing she could come up with was that the battery only lasts 1 full day. If that is the only criticism that she could come up with, then I see this as a great product. I was only able to use the stabilizer on my phone for a couple of days, before it was confiscated by my daughter, but I do have to agree. There really isn't much I could find to complain about.

If you like to take professional pictures and videos this is a handy device to have. It provides stabilization and smooth movement capture both stationary and in motion. The phone grip works better on smaller size fines but will fit most larger phones with the case removed. The control of movement allows great shots from any angle. It was great for selfie or family pictures. The quality matches that of DJI's drone products.

This is my first time using a phone/camera stabilization tool and I have to say I’m quite impressed! The DJI OM 5 Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer, is definitely a game changer! The controls worked perfectly with the DJI Mimo app and my iPhone 12, there are so many features to use and learn it will take some time to get used to them all. The stabilizer stick paired quickly with my phone and it was us and running in just a few minutes (charge the devices prior to use and pairing). There is a quick tutorial it runs you through to get the basics down to get you started, from taking video, to photos and using the tracking feature, just to name a few fun things. The tracking feature through the app, worked so well following the subject so smoothly. The on board controls on the DJI OM 5 Smartphone Stabilizer are great! Controlling zoom, taking photos, starting and stopping video recording, moving the phone axis are just some of the great features offered. The only real con I faced so far for me is, I have to remove my phone from it’s case to attach it to the holder/magnet and then attach it to the stabilizer stick. That personally makes me a bit nervous if I were to drop the stabilizer. I still have a lot to learn, but am so far enjoying the marked quality improvement in keeping my videos smooth and professional looking! I’m really enjoying this fantastic new tool!

If you are not sure, this is a Gimbal. It has gyroscopes build into it which can help detect even a small movement of your hand or the device. The motion is immediately compensated by motors giving you a smooth video experience. Using the app, you can track objects which is pretty cool and useful feature. Other than that, this is probably best the money can buy which doesn't break the bank. Now do you need it - well it depends on what are you expectations. Even though, it makes your videos much smoother and gives a much nicer experience, there is a cost involved and that is using it when you want to make videos. Even though the thing is much lighter than the last version, you will definitely feel the weight as you are using it especially as the motors compensates for the movement. Using the extension rod increases the torque on your wrist further. Hence, this device is useful for the super motivated folks who want to capture absolutely the best videos or are vloggers, etc. Before committing to buy it, I would also suggest to look at the phone compatibility list. Unfortunately, it doesn't work seamlessly with any smartphone. Especially the app part where you can track objects. All in all, a good solid device. Just make sure that you will be motivated to use it.

This smartphone gimbal stabilizer is one groovy piece of kit! I own an iPhone 12 Pro Max which means I can shoot some smooth video. Or at least I thought I could. The video I'm able to shoot with this bad boy is cinema smooth! Setup can be a pain point as the quick start guide is in the form of pictograms. However, once I fired up the DJI Mino app I watch the setup video and had no problems. The controls can be a bit tricky to master but the results will be well worth the effort to master them. It's a tad bit on the heavy side but I hope that translates to outstanding battery life. It has an extension feature if you want the selfie stick experience and comes with a tripod legs attachment, wrist strap, and a rather nice carry case. It pairs to your phone via bluetooth which means no cables required to use. My one complaint, to which I have found a solution, is that unlike earlier generations there's no integration with Filmic Pro. My work around is the just rely on the physical controls when using the app. I love it!!!

This is my first gimbal I have used for a smartphone. Retails for $159 USD MSRP. Out of the box, I did have difficulty pairing it with my Samsung Galaxy s21 Ultra. It took me several tries before I got it paired. Other than that, the filming movement was pretty smooth with no hiccups. Button features are pretty straight forward but the features that require multi taps can get a little confusing. My favorite things about this gimbal are the extension rod and the tripod attachment. It has a USB-C port for charging and comes with a storage pouch.

I had a lot of fun with this over the last weekend with my kids, just exploring the shots we could get. It was so fun to come home and be like "Wow, me made that." The DJI OM 5 is so easy to use. The follow mode and tilt lock modes both make for professional looking shots. A very exciting tool, that adds more reason to only shoot on your phone.

Great product, I can’t believe I never had one before. Takes a few minutes to get acclimated to. Even my kids could operate it.

My DJI osmo has stopped working properly after 2 years. It now jitters, wobbles, and shakes unpredictably during video recordings even when held strady in my hands. Sucks that theres no warranty and support for replacenent after spending almost $140 on this.

Really makes a difference in the quality of pictures and videos shot from my IPhone

Upgraded from OM3. Love it. Decent amount of charge.

Had a few issues with vibration... but that quickly sorted itself out (12MAXPRO). Everything works as planned, but my only issue...the tactile feel is cheap. It really needs a better grip feel. I'm adding sift grip tape to the base.
