Returned….vibrating till overheating
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned mine back to DJI as it used to vibrate to the point of overheating from what I understand I wasn’t the only one that had this issue After having an OM3 this is considerably smaller not necessarily better as for me the grip was a little small and not as stable as the OM3 Loved the magnetic phone holder the selfie stick was handy could have used a better case than the one supplied overall because of the trouble I had, I would wait a couple of months before buying one hopefully any issues would be ironed out by then

Sorry for the unpleasant experience caused. You could try to use the following methods to check if the problem persists.
1) Remove the phone case and try again.
*As the mobile phone case may be soft, the clamping position of the mobile phone clamp may shift.
2) If the mobile device is small or thin (such as an iPhone 8, Nova 8, or OPPO Reno 5 Pro) or the mobile phone edge is arced, use the provided riser pad.
3) If a high temperature prompt appears in the app, it indicates that the motor enters self-protection status. After the above two steps have been checked, please restart the gimbal and DJI Mimo, and the issue can be resolved.

Works as expected.

Not for the folks who are not big on social media

Phones these days come with OIS and it really doesn’t make a difference if you use this image stabilizing gimble or not. I was really excited initially with this but after a couple of tries and playing around, it is just a fancy nice to have kinda device but it is not going to change your life dramatically or at all.

Weak and Flimsy, Exchanged for OM 4
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought for my iPhone 13 Pro Max. The OM5 seemed too small to comfortably handle that size phone. Looking at it side by side to the OM4, the axis arms are visibly smaller. It seemed to struggle with keeping the phone level, and the grip was awkward to hold. Also the selfie extension is very flimsy, and you cant pull it out with the unit turned on or else the motors flip out. I exchanged it the next day for OM4 and it feels way better. The stronger arms and heavier more ergo grip make the package feel much more stable. Note that DJI rates the payload for both OM5 and 4 as 230 grams +/- 60g. However after having both, Id have to say the OM5 is more on the -60g, not plus. This is a problem when the 13 pro max is 230 grams.

Not Android 12 Compatible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buyer beware, this item (as of december 2021) is not compatible with Android 12, or Google Pixel 6 phones. To use the item, you need to install their DJI Mimo app, which cannot open on 12. Shame, the device feels well built and would have been nice to use.

DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bluetooth connectivity not reliable with my Iphone 14 promax. I’ve research this problem and found a few quick fixes recommended by the DJI support team. I’ve tried the rebooting turn on and off device and bluetooth connection and the problem still persist. Even with a great cellular data, it still not reliable. Too bad my window returning this gadget expired because I really wanted for it to work and gave it a few too many second chances. Within about a month of ownership, it only connected less than 10 times and it’s random. If you wanted to buy this or maybe the OM6, please do your diligence to make sure it works. If not, return it while you can.

Second, the app doesn't work (literally AT ALL) you give it all permissions! This means that if you still want to use the gimbal then you'll be forced to use it without all features advertised -- a manual gimbal?!

Please download the latest version of DJI Mimo from our official website to check if the problem persists. Besides, please enable or allow "install unknown apps" to be installed on your device under the settings.

Selfie stick
