I am a huge Stephen King fan and I thought this film was a great take as a sequel to the shining. The HDR in the 4K makes the darker scenes even creepier.

I'm a huge fan of Stephen King and have watched every movie and read most books. This (even though different than the book) is probably the best movie adaptation of any book. Great acting and good interpretation.

Great follow up to The Shining. The Director's cut is even longer. Watched the 4k version of The Shining before this to have it all make sense.

I can't convey how much I loved Doctor Sleep and I don't imagine I'll be able to watch The Shining without following it up directly with this fantastic sequel.

What a great movie! I didn’t think any possible movie could hold a torch to the original. The shining is my favorite movie and this is now my second favorite.

What a thrill this sequel to the Shining was. Highly recommend seeing this one if you have not yet. Ewan McGregor is a fantastic role.

Great movie. The directors cut is 3 hours. Wasn't bored for a minute. Well done. One of the best adaptations of a Stephen King story.

What can I say besides Stephen King is a fantastic author and every time one of his movies come out I jump on them. Great movie. Def has some jumping moments.

Tremendous follow-up to The Shining! Thoroughly enjoyable, but c'mon, if you expect this to be anything near Kubrick you're kidding yourself.

Great Scary movie and with 4K visuals it makes the experience that much better, great spin off from the Shinning.

I still haven't watched this movie, but am excited to see how it is. The first one was a classic. A myst own the shining. So my Hope's are high for this one.

This is a really good movie. If you like the Shinning which I recommend cause they go together it will make more sense. It is creepy with out being gross.

A must watch if you are a fan of a Haunting of Hill House or a fan the Shining film and the book. Ewan Mcgregor was great as Dan Torrance.

39 years later the sequel of the classic movie The Shinning arrives. Happens as many years later. Very entertaining however not as intense as the original but my be added to you collection specially if you own the original one.

I was very sceptical at first cause The Shining is one of my all time favorite movies but this film does not disappoint. Highly entertaining and recommend.

With Hush, Oculus, Haunting of Hill House, and now Doctor Sleep, Mike Flanagan continues to prove why he's maybe the best Horror director working today
