Director Mike Flanagan’s psychological horror film is an adaptation of Stephen King’s 2013 novel of the same name, which is a sequel to his 1977 novel “The Shining.” Ewan McGregor plays an adult Dan Torrance, who befriends a young girl with similar psychic powers. They join forces against The True Knot: an evil cult that exploits children with supernatural powers in their quest for immortality.

This is a unique movie is slow but still really good. I love the shining and when this movie was announced i was like theres no need for it but i was wrong is a great continuation for the shining where you can see wha the shine can do.
I'm a huge The Shining fan. Like I've probably seen it around 200 times huge. I knew I was going to love Doctor Sleep from what I read about it and was not disappointed. It's one of those movies that could've been 10 hours long and it wouldn't get old. Haven't watched the Director's cut yet so I will let you know. Picture and sound are excellent. Get this movie!
This Dr. Sleep steelbook set is a great set, you get two dvds, plus a digital copy. The movie is ok. Being a fan of The Shining, I was a little disappointed. It was good, but too long. I found myself losing interest about halfway through, but regained interest towards the end. Still, it's worth a watch. The acting was good, and they did a great job casting actors who look like the actors from the original movie.
A:AnswerYes, the Steelbook does include the Director's cut. Other sites have posted images of the actual Steelbook package and it does confirm that this version includes the Director's Cut on the Blu Ray disc and as a digital download. The 4k disc includes the Theatrical Cut(which is also available as a digital download).
