The excellent director's cut included in this release substantially different and worth the purchase even if you've seen the movie.

The directors cut is awesome. Love this film. If you love the shining this movie was made with a lot of love for Kubricks film.

Though it left stuff out from the book, it really had to based on "The Shining" movie. Please make more King books into movies.

Movie keeps you enthralled. There is one part of the movie where it gets really dark in the subject matter but still very enjoyable overall. Would of been 5 stars if the ending didnt feel rushed.

I saw this movie in the theater and I really enjoyed it. This 4K blu-ray has really great video and surround sound. Of course, this is my opinion with a Marantz receiver and Martin-Logan speakers.

I watched the Director's Cut and liked it more than the theatrical version. The story is altered significantly from the book, but it is consistent with the movie version of The Shining.
