Customer Ratings & Reviews

Most movies that are sequels are not that great but this one is not only a must see. Definitely a must own.

I loved the book so it was no surprise I loved the movie. Very happy with this movie and I would highly recommend it.

Have yet to watch this but I couldn’t resist the Black Friday deal. Heard nothing but good things about it!

Great extension to the Shining from the King himself. Great acting and great screen effects that keep you interested.

Always glad to add this movie to my growing horror collection. A definite need to my collection. Five stars all around

Amazing movie. Even better if you have previously seen the shinning. Flawless transition between the two

Great movie, stays relatively close to the novel, which was better, but they usually are.

Very long movie. Interesting to watch. You gotta know about the first movie in order to get the point of this movie.

This movie gave me a few doubts when watching the preview but after purchasing it and watching I officially love it .

Doctor Sleep is so good & so original. I love this movie so much it'll be on rotation every October from here on out.

Doctor Sleep holds it's own compared to The Shining. They compliment each other very well. Director's cut is awesome.

Its a really good scary story by Steven King. Perfect for any King fan

This is a great sequel to "the Shining". Great acting and visual story-telling. Love the new character "Rose the Hat"

I thought this movie was one of the best sequels I've seen in years. It also tied to the original Shining very well.

This is actually a good movie. Didn’t see it at the movies and we love scary movies. This came out and decided to scoop it up. Glad I did as it was much better than anticipated.

Really loved everything about this sequel that we rarely see nowadays!

This was really good. It’s not particularly scary, but was a enjoyable. As the book and movie of the shining end very differently, this movie really works as a sequel to both.

The director's cut adds in a lot that was missing from the theatrical version good addition to the video collection.

4k disc is defective. Disc locks up towards the end of disc. Want to bring in for exchange but can't find receipt.

Like all Best Buy 4K steelbooks, the package is the sell point. The art work - a collage of younger Danny from the Shining inside the silhouette of contemporary Danny - is much better than the standard UHD cover art. The movie, however, is a very workmanlike, no frills supernatural thriller by Mike Flannigan which, in slavishly adhering to the source material, missed the essence of Kubrick's film. It's serviceable if unspectacular. However, the picture quality looks great on my LG OLED. A fine disk for technical reasons.
