I thought this movie was one of the best sequels I've seen in years. It also tied to the original Shining very well.

This was really good. It’s not particularly scary, but was a enjoyable. As the book and movie of the shining end very differently, this movie really works as a sequel to both.

The director's cut adds in a lot that was missing from the theatrical version good addition to the video collection.

This is a very good movie, with great cinematics, Good storyline, It is a good followup to The Shinning.

4k disc is defective. Disc locks up towards the end of disc. Want to bring in for exchange but can't find receipt.

Like all Best Buy 4K steelbooks, the package is the sell point. The art work - a collage of younger Danny from the Shining inside the silhouette of contemporary Danny - is much better than the standard UHD cover art. The movie, however, is a very workmanlike, no frills supernatural thriller by Mike Flannigan which, in slavishly adhering to the source material, missed the essence of Kubrick's film. It's serviceable if unspectacular. However, the picture quality looks great on my LG OLED. A fine disk for technical reasons.

It’s Stephen King stuff. It was pretty good. Need to watch it again to solidify if it was just good or really good.

You really need to pay attention while watching this movie. But if you watched The Shining you will love this movie.

Amazing follow up to The Shinning! Only downside is the directors cut is only on digital 4K and not the 4K disc...

Mike Flanagan is the perfect Director to follow up a Kubrick film. Very strong direction but not a carbon copy. Looks great, nice set pieces, good acting. enjoyed it.
