this game bring me back to the early 20s when i use to play DK 64

This game is fantastic on so many levels. My only complaint is that it is not as addicting as games like Mario Odyssey

I love this game but what makes it a 4 star review instead of a five is it dlc content.

Ehh not that impressive. Seems like a gimmik to sell a game with a mechanic that was in ps2 games. I’d like to note only doing this review cuz Best Buy sent me the spam of “chance to win gift card” I’ve been doing these for over 7 years never got a gift card. Again I love Nintendo but this game gets old very fast. Very repetitive, and the colors are rather bland. Some say it isn’t really a next gen game and I’d agree with that. The controls are great considering a new concept, smash up, down, gather, etc. It constantly feels too hyper, too much, and if you move around excessively with the camera you can get nauseous. I like the more chill concept that Mario Odyssey brought instead of this pressured craziness. I would return it if I could.

Love donkey kong.i grew up playing Nintendo love it.

I really loved the Donkey Kong games in the past and I was hoping this was going to be an even better platform game, but I was wrong. It's all about smashing, which gets repetitive and boring. After half an hour I turned it off. Everyone I try to pay it again is the same thing, I get bored in a matter of minutes. Definitely not for me.

The way you are gonna wanna smash everything in sight will have you lose focus on the task at hand.

It's not a next gen game! It is very obvious this was intended for the switch originally. The added textures help, but its still looks last gen. As for gameplay, its sort of repetitive as your more often than not simply bashing away at things. On the positive side, expect it to be a typical well polished Nintendo offering.

There is no reason at all they couldn’t include DK Island as post-game content, but they saved it for the terrible DLC. There’s absolutely no way to visit DK Iskand without spending an extra $30

This was a wonderfully produced game, however it is nowhere near the $70 price rage and $20 DLC. Living in an age where complete games are $90+ is not something I’d typically buy or promote. If this game ever goes on sale it’s 100% worth it. At $70? It’s not, sorry. Save your money and buy 3rd party titles they’re priced better.

I thought this game was just okay, wasn’t sure what I was expecting but needed something to play on the switch 2 since it’s the only other game out it seems.. it is well catered to both younger and older audiences but I thought it was just a bit too chaotic for my taste “smash and destroy” but not a bad game just not my taste~

The kids love it, I feel like it’s not much different but they enjoyed it
