WOW. If you like donkey kong, side scrollers, nintendo games, you will enjoy! I just got the game on switch, after buying on wiiu when it released in 2013/14. This Switch title is superior, runs better, and is so fun to play in handheld and looks great both on big screen and handheld.

As far as platformers go, this is one of the best. If you are looking for something a bit more adult and more challenging than say "Kirby Star Allies", then this is the game for you. If you already have it on Wii U there's no reason to buy this. But if you've never had the Wii U and like DK games then grab this one. The mine kart levels are stunning.

DK: Tropical Freeze feels very much like an old school SNES DK game. However, since it's a port of a Wii U game, I feel like it doesn't justify a full $60 price tag.

Donkey kong tropical freeze is one amazing game... Donkey Kong makes a strong come back into platform gaming scene once more ! Game is a speed running & musical masterpiece !! Highly recommended as one the best Nintendo Switch games Remastered !

Amazing and fun game but must focus! I hate that I keep dying!

This donkey kong game reminds me of the endless hours I spent playing donkey kong country 2 on super nintendo. Fast forward 20 years or so and the switch does this classic series installment great justice. This game is crazy difficult, but always keeps you coming back. I've yet to beat it, this will be a permanent piece in the collection.

Donkey Kong has held a special place in heart since childhood, and it never disappointed me. Without WiiU, I was not able to play this game, but re-release in Switch made it possible for me to play this. This is just a great game with classic touch, but this game requires ultimate timing! A fun for all ages!

As a fan of the SNES Donkey Kong Country series, this was a must have. It brings the feel of the original games to the updated platform of the Switch.

This is a fun game to play. First levels were harder than i thought they'd be. Lot's of hidden stuff to find.

Absolutely loved this game. I had never fully played a Donkey Kong country game before but saw great reviews and thought I would give it a shot. The controls are extremely fluid, level design is diversive, and difficulty can range from easy to tough as nails depending on your play style. There are also a ton of tough collectibles to get.

Really fun Donkey Kong game, and platformer in general. Get it and play it with a friend, lots of charm. Good luck getting this game for a deal tho, Nintendo has conferences if putting this game on sale will financially hurt them.

I mainly bought this because I lost my 3DS copy, but I have to say playing it in HD on my modern TV is a major upgrade. I thought I'd love Funky, but it turns out he's literally just an upgraded easy mode (and the game frankly makes you feel stupid for using him). It's still a cool idea, just didn't execute the way I expected. Long story short, if you've owned this game before, played it once and put it down forever, probably skip. If you keep coming back to crush time trials and 100% the game, this is a worthy upgrade for your collection and you'll probably enjoy beating it again.
