This game is very close to the Wii U version of it. It is a fun puzzle side scroller game. It is a challenging game that will frustrate younger kids and us older folks. It will take some time to complete it. It is still fun and what can I say, it is Donkey Kong!

The Switch version maintains the difficulty and tough bosses, but adds a more accessible and fun Funky Mode, if you aren't up for the soul-crushing challenges of some of Tropical Freeze's later levels. Tropical Freeze looks great on Switch.

Never had the original Wii U version but picked this up because its highly regarded. Not let down, super smooth, easy to play, full of secret paths and a few revisits in order to really appreciate the cunning level design. Some of the music is exceptional too.

This was the first Donkey Kong game i have ever owned and it did not disappoint. The levels look great, the controls feel right, and this game is definitely a challenge. It is definitely worth looking into if you are into platformer style games.

This game is a ton of fun with great platforming. I never owned it on Wii U so I'm happy to finally have to chance to play. I wish it were a little cheaper since it is a re-release. If you like Donkey Kong/platformers in general, it is worth the buy.

These switch games can be awesome as this one is. You cannot go wrong with Donkey Kong he has been around since I was a kid. This is also very easy for my 5 year old to play which is what I was looking for.

Got the ninetndo switch for my 9 yr old son and decided to buy the donkey kong game with it. The game is so much fun with nice graphics and easy enough for him to complete different levels

It may be a difficult game, but it's a blast and just like the original DKC games.

i bought DKCTF for the Wii U day one and was blow away by the level design, difficulty and the legendary music. David Wise surpassed the orginal series with DKCTF...i cant recommend it enough...its my #1 favorite Wii U game that deserves another shot!

It is the best 2D plat former of all time. It is challenging though.

If you played Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii, than you'll love this one too. Same great gameplay, great music and beautifully looking game. Even if it's your first time playing a Donkey Kong game, you'll still have a blast. Enjoy!

This series doesn’t get enough love as it should. It’s super fun, energetic, and will last for so long. I will say it’s pretty hard so your probably not going to enjoy it if your not good at platformers.

One of the best games for the unpopular Wii U is thankfully given a second chance on the Nintendo Switch. The original game was tough so the added Funky Kong mode is welcome. Great graphics, music and smooth gameplay make this a must buy!

Love Donkey Kong. Great game. Came quickly. It's a nice twist on the franchise.

The price of this game was a little higher than what I wanted to pay. But after purchasing the game I found it was worth it, love it and the graphics are awesome and I can't stop playing it and really enjoying it.

Sharp graphics, incredible level design, and a top notch soundtrack elevate DK Tropical Freeze as one of the greatest platforming games in recent memory. A nice transition from the Wii U version. Definitely worth adding to your collection!

It’s great game that plays very well on switch. Graphics are crisp and the controls responds well. It’s a must have platformer. However, at times is challenging for my children and myself.
