The game brought moments of nostalgia for me. However, my kids didn't seem to enjoy it after a hour. I feel like nintendo is going to have to move past Mario and other original characters to capture kids today. Also its time to cut consumers a break on game prices for nintendo. Games that are 3 to 5 years old are still selling for $60 like they just got released.

Buy this game if you love "platformers"! Especially if it's under $40. An amazing Game!! Loved it.

I already have this game for the wii u. But I wanted to play it anywhere on my switch. Now I can play anywhere this fun game.

I had this game for Wii U when it first came out and loved it. Even better on switch as my girlfriend and I have already played it on the go in the airport terminal. However, be warned. Casual players will lose A LOT of lives but still a fun experience

This is a great Donkey Kong Country game. If you want a fun platforming game, then this game will do that for you. It can get difficult at times so it's great that you can play in Funky Kong mode if you want to have an easier time. Have fun!

I had such fond memories of Donkey Kong Country on the SNES that I had to buy this game when I got the switch... I didn't buy a WiiU. It looks like it being a side scroller, and feels sorta like it, but the controls are a little odd... Takes a few sessions to get used to it. I honestly found DK64 to be more fun, but it's still a good play.

I lobe DK so finding this game on a sale was a win win

My kids had this game before on the Wii...but it broke somehow and they never played it again. So, it was an awesome surprise to buy it for them again for Nintendo Switch. Hours of fun for the entire family!

If you played on the WiiU this isn't going to be a surprise, but for anyone new this is one of the best DK style games there are. It's fast paced and fun with great style and if you enjoy this type of game it's worth playing.

My wife had wanted this for the Wii U but we never got around to buying it. We finally picked it up when it came out for the Switch. We have so much fun playing this together and it brings back great memories of the original Donkey Kong Country games.

It's a pretty fun game, but a little too similar to the last one. Same type of play where if you get stuck on a level, you're just stuck. Would love to see a remake, or just similar game play, to DK64. I've been playing Mario Odyssey, which is a ton of fun, and this DK game just doesn't quite measure up for being the same price. If you like side-scrolling games and have liked previous DK games, then you'll like this one.

This is my favorite game ever made, the worlds are beautiful and varied, the level design is top notch and the soundtrack is incredible. I could gush all day about this game. I will buy this game on every platform they will ever put it on

Very very fun DK adventure. Kinda reminds me of the old DKC days, nice mix of cool fun and tough challenge. The music is on point and the levels are gorgeous.
