It's been decades since I'd played donkey kong and now for the first time playing it on the switch brings back so many memories! Loving the tropical scenes and makes you feel like your actually taking a vacation! I've played it for so long and didn't want to put the switch down cause it's very addictive! This game is a beast and recommend it to anyone who's a big donkey kong fan!

Fun game. I think its the best one in the series. Donkey Kong's controls can be a little clunky, but you get used to it quickly.

This is one of the best platformers ever created. Retro studios has done a master class job at creating one of the most beautiful, rewarding, and challenging platformers to date. DK and clan have never looked better nor has their world looked more alive. This is an essential if you are Nintendo fan or if you just enjoy excellent platformers.

Great game. I had fun playing it on the Wii U for a few years. I wish Nintendo immediately discounted their software that was just Ported to the newest system. A lot of the game”plus” stuff makes it ok but I mean they sold the games for $20 before. Oh well. If you like DKC 1-2-3& Returns, you’ll like this.

It was much harder than expected. Definitely had the feel of the older games but animal sections are scarce. 2nd player characters having odd second jumps makes it weird though.

Love this game since I was little back 15 years ago. Great game! So happy I bought this game again after 15 years.

Never played any donkey Kong game and not into platformers but always find myself coming back to play this, would reccomend to anyone who loves platformers and the switch!

If you haven't heard, Nintendo publishes great games. Tropical Freeze is no different. It is the same game that came out on the Wii U years ago but is a package with an extra funky kong mode that makes it much simpler for beginners to play. Colorful environments and great level and art design make this a must-buy for anyone with a switch.

This game is awesome. My wife and I play together, and even though she yells at me when we don’t pass a level, it’s brought us super close together.

The review is for best buy. The game is 5 stars. I ordered this for pickup with another game during the mario sale. It was over 2 weeks and they couldn't give an estimate of when i would be able to pick up the game but when you checked online they had copies for sale. And even around in other stores they had copies yet i had to change ny pickup to delivery just to be able to get the game so they didn't cancel my order. Sad to say this was for a birthday present that was 2 weeks late. Son loves the game just disappointed in how best buy handled the situation.

After hearing people hesitate about the purchase due to it being a port I decided it'd be best to try out for myself. Needless to say I'm glad I did, great for those that didn't own the game on the prior system, holds up real well and is simply one of the better platformers on the system. Difficulty can be tough but then there's an easier mode for those struggling.
