I've loved donkey kong country since the first one came out on Super Nintendo. I love that this game is more like the older games in terms of setup and mechanics but with updated graphics. There is no timer like Mario games, so you are meant to explore the stages to find all the secrets; and there are a lot of them. It is well made and it shows that they put a lot of time and effort into making this a great game. The only two problems I have with it are that it gets difficult really quickly. The fourth stage was hard enough that I had to play it over a few times. The second world is so hard that I've used a continue. Luckily you can buy lives with coins you find, so you can at least prolong your game a bit. The second bad thing is that it is not co-op friendly. The camera follows whoevers in front and the other player disappears. When someone dies, you lose a life (they are shared) and if decide to respawn, the other player has to touch your barrel or you lose ANOTHER life! I thought that was ridiculous. Otherwise, it's a challenging, well-made game that would remind you if the older dkc's. Just play it alone. :)

Great colorful worlds. Lots of fun. Great multi-player game.

This a great follow-up to Donkey Kong Country Returns and it is in gorgeous HD. The level design is fun and colorful, and the gameplay is both enjoyable and challenging.
