This game is incredibly underrated and underplayed. REtro Studios is an amazing developer and I implore anyone with any interest in the game to check it out. The soundtrack in particular is stunning.

It's not my favorite game but the kids love it. They have fun but they still like Disney Infinity better. A great game for the right price.

I love this game. The opening scenes to start this game are outstanding and really get the story started off strong. I have enjoyed every minute of it playing with my family and they enjoyed it too.

This is one of the best-looking and sounding games I've every played. The gameplay is very solid and challenging. It's appropriate for any age, but gets difficult very quickly.

Not quite as good as the original but still a really fun game. The graphics have been really improved over previous versions. The game play is similar to previous games but add a couple of new features. The game is definitely one to add to your games library.

This game feels like it doesn't know what it wants to be. It's like someone took assets from a very spectacular animated movie and mashed it together with a hardcore, precise platformer. The animations in this game are all very elaborate and long, each one unique and painstakingly created by a master of his or her craft. The platforming elements are unforgiving and require pixel-perfect precison, almost as if the game requires full memorization. These two things do not mix. The art department and the level design department obviously were not on speaking terms during the production of this game. This isn't even bringing up the wonky hitboxes or the fact that a 500-lb gorrilla can get the snot beaten out of him by a rotund penguin. The real problem of this game is that it feels like Nintendo is really trying to please everyone equally, even if one group's sensibilities contradict one another. Like modern games full of grand setpieces? Nintendo tried to make a game for you. Like family friendly cartoons with tons of heart? Nintendo tried to make a game for you too. Like the games of yesteryear and are desperate to be reminded of your youth? Nintendo gas got you covered. Like hard games you can use to brag to your friends for beating like you are on the jungle gym at recess? You get the idea. Nintendo tries to please them all – this bitter man he is. This game truly feels like Nintendo tried to make a Naughty Dog game. It is full of setpeices and really puts in something for everyone. Except where Naughty Dog goes overboard on making their games grim and HBO-approved, Nintendo relies on bringing up fond memories of the past. Unfortunately, those kids who grew up with Nintendo are now 20 and 30-somethings desperate to be mature; this isn't exactly the type of game for the Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad crowd. Nostalgia for the past isn't going to work on the kids of today, who weren't even alive in Donkey Kong's heyday and who are too glued to their phones and M-rated shooters to care. This type of game just isn't "cool" anymore and it really feels like the big N doesn't know what to make of that. Oh well, there might be something for you in this game so give it a shot if you haven't yet; if you don't like it you can always trade it back in.

I have always been a Donkey Kong fan since the early days of Nintendo and always love it when they update a classic character but still stay true to the roots and this game is no exception. Fun ,great graphics and lots of secrets.

I bought this game for my son and I to play together. It is a lot of fun, just like the first DK game. It is however harder than the first one. I guess that's either good or bad depending on personal preference. Fun game overall.

The controls are very similar to the original donkey kong country. If anyone loved the classic this is perfect for you!

This game plays just as well as the classic donkey kong country games. Great fun for all ages

This game has some of the best platforming I've ever played. The difficulty is very challenging but I never felt it was unfair. There's a great co-op mode that can help make things a little easier. I had a blast playing through it with a friend. The game is a bit short though and there isn't a ton of replayability. Overall it's one of the best games currently available on the Wii U so I'd definitely recommend it.
