Doom Eternal improves off of Doom (2016) in many ways: movement feels faster and more fluid, enemy types feel more varied, certain combat arenas have more verticality to compliment new traversal options, health and ammo recovery systems are well balanced to encourage more aggressive play styles, etc. But for all the positives and improvements in this game, there is an equal amount of drawbacks: too many upgrade systems, often unclear paths through levels, certain frustrating enemy types that almost disrupt the flow of combat, and long, drawn out mission designs. Over all this sequel offers some of the best combat you’ll find in an FPS that can only be rivaled by its predecessor, and the few drawbacks should not deter any fans of the franchise from playing it.

Brings back the old days of the original Doom but way more fast paced and action packed!

Bought this for me and my son to play during shelter in place time. He is way better at fps than I am but we both had a blast playing. Not for the faint of heart, this game could keep you busy for months! Highly recommended!

If you enjoyed the new Doom game that came out in 2016 than you will absolutely love this sequel that ratchets up the craziness to 100. If you didn't play Doom 2016 than you are in for a treat. Insane fast paced action, split up by very interesting platforming sections inspired by stuff from the likes of Super Mario Brothers but in First Person. Doom Eternal brings visceral action and makes for an insanely fun shoot'em up experience. Don't expect much of a story here.

Its doom. Fast paced. Lots of fun. Can change difficulties on the fly. (Miss out on trophies, but you get to enjoy the story)

Although some may find it difficult, the game pushes you to think, keep moving and to utelize what it teaches you. Great game.

But HARD AS NAILS. Definitely not for noobs. PROTIP: Don't stop moving!

This is by far the most challenging of the games in my opinion. That serves to keep you on your toes! Definitely recommend!

This game is a great follow up to the 2016 Doom and has a KILLER soundtrack. The difficulty level has been ramped up a bit too if you play on the highest difficulty levels. I love this game so far!

Pure adrenaline filled action! Doom is a great franchise and this entry does not disappoint! Highly recommended!

Just as fast paced and delightfully gory as the last game in 2016. Movement, animation, and controls are excellent. Story is fun and engaging. I do not play online so I am unable to comment on that aspect of this game.

I read that this wasnt as good as the 2016 have but I disagree. I think it's really fun and totally worth getting.

If you loved the first Doom on PS4 then this one is going to blow you away! Awesome story line and great graphics.
