They took what made the 2016 version so great and cranked it up to 11. Additional weapons, new enemies, and great gameplay, if you like first person shooters DOOM Eternal is awesome.

While I love the updates to the 2016 Doom, the one thing that all critics have said is true: the platforming is at times awful and beyond angering. Super fast and fun gameplay, and if you loved 2016, you will love this, but be prepared for some VERY annoying platforming sections that did not bring down the perfect 2016 Doom.

The hub was a welcome addition as were some of the new attacks that were added to the combat. The platforming was hit and miss, but still helped to spice things up. If you love shooters, you should give this one a shot.

Excellent Game with Solid Gameplay

Doom Eternal is more of 2016 with refined controls and more movement options. This game has some cut scenes that stop the pacing of the game, but those only pop up a couple times per level. The challenge of the game is definitely higher than 2016, but I think that makes it more fun.
