Doom was a great rush. It was a game that got better the more I played. Honestly my only complaint would be that it ended when the action really started to pick up. But besides that, the game was awesome. Weapons, enemies, environment and story (if you read everything) was great. I didn't try the online portion of the game , but then again I bought this for the single player. And it delivered!

Having played many of the original Doom games back when the series began, I can safely say DOOM 4 (as it pretty much is called by fans) is what everyone had wanted Doom 3 to be years ago; fast-paced and full of unrelenting action. The game doesn't bog you down with a dozen long-winded, prerendered cutscenes, nor does it attempt to wow players with an existential narrative full of melodrama. It's ultra violence and guns galore, and it's only getting better as time passes. Updates have included an option to play the game with the iconic weapon stance (dead center in the middle of the screen, sadly no smirking Doom Marine face, yet), and even more recently an arcade mode to please fans of the bygone era of arcade gallery shooters. There's also considerable easter eggs to be found, in collectibles and secret levels that must be seen to be believed. The only downside is that tacked on multiplayer, which barely even has the polish of the yearly Call of Duty or Battlefield titles.

I'm usually not very good with the shooting mechanics in first person shooters, but this game seems to be a little different because I'm not too bad at it. The graphics are good and the gore is at a level that is acceptable to me. I find some games to be way over the top in that department. I enjoy this one all around.

I was hesitant about getting this game because of whether it could hold up to the original. Glad I took a chance. Definitely modernized the game so that it feels brand new. Gameplay is awesome and single campaign is awesome. Runs super smooth on PS4.

The guns in this game and use of the chain saw is epic. The chainsaw obliterates enemies quickly and the weapons tear them apart with intense affects. It is a major step up from older Doom games with the current and more loose shooting mechanics, more highly detailed. Health packs and ammo are far more frequent than previous Doom games which makes the game more enjoyable and easy enough to enjoy, with some appropriately difficult enemies.The most shocking thing is the high level of detail in the environments and enemies. It is fun because the guns this generation feel more powerful making it easier to charge into combat and feel like a macho dude who is unstoppable like Master Chief.

Remembering the previous Doom games from PC and PS1 back in the day, this game is an excellent compliment to those titles. You are able to customize the weapons deeply, along with armor and vitals upgrades. I found out after I had played a while, every level has a secret area not on the maps. This secret area sends you into a pixelated "level" that looks like the old school Doom games. Far as I can tell it is a handle in the ground you need to look for to find them. You are able to use the new game weapons however, not something I was a fan of. I would like to have seen a total rewind of all aspects of the classic levels being a fan of the first games. That is my only gripe of this game, I have not played the multiplayer at all yet so I cannot comment on that mode.

Amazing, packed full of action and I cannot stop playing it, online multiplayer is okay but the single player campaign really shines

I have to admit I was skeptical of DOOM after seeing the first gameplay footage. It completely dropped off my radar, actually. But I just couldn't resist at least giving it a shot after it released. Boy, am I glad I did. This game captures the fun of the classic games while tossing in some modern tricks. The speed, the gore, even the glory kills (which add a small element of strategy to the game) all look and feel great. This game is just pure, simple fun. Don't pass this one up.

Wow, this is a must play for an FPS fan. This is easily the best Doom. The ability to create new maps and share them with others is a great way to increase the longevity of the game.

I didn't care for the multi-player but the campaign is absolutely beautiful! If you like to jump and shoot the h!%@ out of creatures then get this game.

The 2016 revival of DOOM was a pleasant surprise for gamers across the world who had a craving for intergalactic demon slaying. The game is fast-paced, chaotic and unrelenting. You move from one arena to the next, clearing room after room of evildoers while gaining upgrades and perks along the way. Ditched are the common new-era FPS mechanics such as primary/secondary weapons, reloading and automatically regenerating health.This game is all about double jumps, weapon wheels and of course, the BFG.

Excellent game, but very hard boss levels. Have not played w 2 player but recommend 2 players at those levels

Its definitely a fun FPS, great graphics and cool weapons. One thing it lacks os the story, very forgettable.

Great throwback shooter with modern upgrades. If you loved the classic games, you'll probably have a great time with this modern take on classic DOOM. Smooth graphics, fast a fluid gameplay and a large amount of content. Multiplayer is the weakest part of the game, but the campaign and snap-map make up for that deficiency.

Playing the original, this game is a refreshing change to the next generation platforms. Taking a bit of the old and bringing some new stuff; This brings all the fast pace and intense fun that we've been looking for in a Doom game for a long time. Doom already became my next game I'll play when i have a bad day.

I absolutely love this game. Some of the most satisfying combat in a shooter I've played in years. The gameplay loop of earning weapon unlocks thought combat and discovery of collectables is addictive. I platinumed the game, and I still go back from time to time for multiplayer. Can't recommend the game enough!

This is a fast paced first person shooter and definitely a game to pick up. Unlike COD, Rainbow Six or Battlefield -- this game is hard hitting and extremely fast paced. You stop moving and you will die. Fight the leagues of the underworld and relive some great original Doom levels.

DOOM is back and it sure does look pretty! This is 10,000X's better than the original however the enemy design is a little hokey and cartooney which I think is my only drawback...the gameplay does feel really amazing and is super fast paced! Go get this and get your heart racing!

Doom gets back to what we loved about it.... Great guns and crazy enemies...u gotta stay moving or death is certain...very smooth gameplay, great graphics...very happy and a must buy if u enjoy 1st person shooters...
