Bought on sale and haven't opened yet. Played at friends in middle of a save point, got frustrated not knowing where to go next. Hopefully this was due to jumping into someone else's save. Monsters were pretty intense, not just hide in one spot and shoot adding more of a challenge to wipe them out and stay alive.

As a fan of the original, this game is everything that I would imagine a Doom game would be in 2016. Fast, responsive controls, fantastic level design, amazing enemy models, and all the blood that you can handle. Will be replaying soon.

The desktop has met my needs but may be considering an upgrade to CPU because I need multi-threading but so far, this PC is fast, responsive. Like the SSD for its startup speed and the 1 TB drive is very handy for all my files needed.

A fun blend of old FPS sensibilities and new; the game is fast and ferocious with it's combat to the point where I get so wrapped up I forget to check my health. Fans of Doom 3 will be disappointed as this is more action than horror.

First person is difficult enough. The controls are a bit awkward. The setting is very dark and makes it difficult to see what you are doing. Unless you are an avid fan of first person shooter games with senseless violence I would pass on this one.

I just started playing this game this week. After playing the classic on the pc and remembering playing the Sega Genesis 32x version I guess I had some expectations like getting dropped right in the middle of massive run and guns. Eh so far this aint it. I've reached I guess the 3rd level and have had basically 2 shooting sessions. I chose easy difficulty as I like to enjoy the story line just as much as play the game. Easy works but it's still slow which I'm hoping is a good thing as it hints at a game that'll last more than a few hours. I'm normally a casual gamer so anything that lasts 10-50 hours of total gametime is great. The longer the better. If this is helpful cool. Do I recommend it-if you don't have an FPS for your PS4 yet then yes. But there are better one's but still a trip down memory lane is always a good thing--from time to time.

Enjoyed newest iteration of the game. Total play time was shorter than expected, and I have yet to have the desire to replay. Load times tend to be longer than expected, and can get frustrating on certain extra feature play modes. Was a lot of fun and excited in battles. A lot of hack and slash style fighting.

This definitely lived up to my expectations. I have hated first person shooters for years now but this game brought back the fond memories of playing DOOM on SNES. Smooth camera movement and challenging fights make this a great game.

Although I was expecting this particular game to be good, it is, but not my expectations and not for me. Others will disagree, just my 2 cents.

This game is surprisingly average! The graphics are nice but there have been so many great improvements to games that should have been included on this one to make it more interesting. It is just another button masher with not much brain challenge.

I can't say I'm a classic DOOM fan like what this game was mostly catered to. However I can say it's a fine game when you wake up and realize your "realistic" shooters are boring. One big issue for me was the unholy (makes sense because you kill demons) update size. Took 8 hours to download and install.

My son is so pleased to have this game for the PS4 He has always loved Doom as much as I do so this gives us a nice family time and brings back great memories for myself and the family. Thanks

Excellent game mechanics and a pretty intuitive player upgrade system, I'm not a huge fan of backtracking for keys and combing for secrets in FPS games but Doom keeps things interesting and fast-paced.

DOOM is just a masterpiece among FPS’. The controls are tight and responsive, so you get a satisfying result every time. Such a fun game, and one of the better solo campaign games that’s been out.

Great salesman @BB. I was looking at multiple games when a sales rep directed me to Doom. He had great knowledge of newer games and was able to offer a solid storyline/background to push me in the right direction.

This game is definitely not for kids. It is bloody, intense, gory and has plenty of language. If you aren't a child however, it is a satisfying game. The kills are aggressive and the game-play is fast. It is a hard and punishing game, but that's half the fun

Doom is off-the-wall insane! From its visuals, to its attitude, to the monster design, it's a great shooter that modernizes this long-running franchise but also pays respects to the craziness of its roots. Definite must-play if you're looking for something fun and over-the-top!

Feels like Doom at its heart, with enemies straight from old school Doom but with smarter AI. And the Glory Kills are very satisfiying when you want to finish off an enemy with style. Absolutely worth every penny.
