The game play is a little slow, and movement in the game world is restricted.

    Great Mythos!

This is such a deep and involved game. There is a ton of content, and the range of things to do is impressive. I enjoyed the character development and mission variety. The combat is much better than Dragon Age 2--though the camera can be a bit wonky at times (especially if you are playing as a rogue). If there is a critique it is that the game is almost too big (crazy right!) and I found myself getting bored with some areas after a while. But this was almost always fixed by moving on to a new area. If you are a fan of the DA series, this is a must have. If you have always been interested in the DA series but haven't played the others, you will be fine just jumping in but you would get more if you played the first one (second one is important but more optional in my opinion).

A Very worthy sequel to Dragon Age: Origins!

Dragon Age: Inquisition turned out to be one of my favorite games of 2014. The large open areas, the fun and flashy combat, interesting and funny side characters, and amazing graphics all add up to a worthy sequel to the original Dragon Age: Origins game. I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants a great and in-depth RPG that they can spend tens of hours in. (I've racked up about 70 hours myself and not even completed all of the game's content yet.)

An excellent integration of many Bioware games

Dragon Age 1 and 2 both were very different games. One was more old school tactics based while two focused on narrative and adding Mass Effect elements in. Inquisition takes things to a whole new levels by incorporating all the elements that worked and even elements from other games such as the Elder Scrolls' massive open world. They get almost everything right this time and it's a 100+ hr enjoyable experience.

I tried out Dragon Age Origins back on the Xbox 360 but I never connected with it and didn't end up finishing it. After that, I ignored the second game. However, when I started seeing trailers and demos of DA: Inquisition I found my interest rekindled. Once I saw that it was getting good reviews, I decided to give it a shot and I was very satisfied with it. The look and feel of the game's various areas were great. I enjoyed the combat for the most part, although I feel there are better combat systems in other RPGs. However, my favorite part of the game was the great storyline and characters. The story quests were very well done and had a nice variety to them. I grew really attached to a lot of the characters in the game. Their development was handled excellently over the game. My biggest issue with Dragon Age Inquisition was its side quests. While there were many I liked, too many of them relied on a boring fetch quest style, where you have to get x many of this or kill x many of that. It gets boring after a while and mars an otherwise excellent game. However, don't let that deter you from playing. It was one of the best games of last year and is well worth your time if you appreciate a good story and characters.

    Bioware is back!

This game returns Bioware back to the great RPG developers they once were. Dragon Age 2 was bad, Mass Effect 3 was a good game but had some big problem with the story. This game, looks great, is packed with 100's of hours of content, and brings back the tactical camera for combat if you want to use it. But if not, put the game on Normal or Easy and play it like an action RPG. Highly recommended!

Game has good graphics and a great story. Only problem was encountered a bug during story mission in which a red lyrium shard to be collected appeared above door and could not be collected. Have to restart game couple hours before.

There is a ton to do in this game, and you can easily spend over 100 hours on it. Great story, characters, music, and exploration. The world is fleshed out, and there is plenty to accomplish.

This game was the best of the dragon age series. Really good story line, really fun game mechanics. If you liked the other dragon age games, you have to get this one!

An excellent, deep, engaging and well-written role playing game! This is Bioware at its best. Relationships with team members are interesting and deep; the story is engaging and the world is immersive. Highly, highly recommended. One note: leave the Hinterlands. Seriously. Try to get past 'In Your Heart Shall Burn' as quickly as possible; that's when the story really gets going.

I am not very far into the game yet, but really enjoying it so far. If you like games similar to Skyrim. Reckoning etc... you will like this for sure. Action RPG with a big open world, good graphics and sound, decent combat/story. I definitely recommend picking this up

If you like RPG games you'll love Dragon Age Inquisition! You can customize your character, which is a bonus for me. Your choices are Human, Elf, and Qunari. Then Mage, Warrior, and Rogue. There's the main quest and lots of side quests and you can start romances with some of the characters. It's fun if you don't mind all the dialogue, again RPG, very fun and spent all night playing it.

My GOTY. First in the series for me.

Having never played the other games in the series, I was kinda scared to jump into it but I'm very glad I did. This is my GOTY. The combat is fun and addictive with several ways to play it out. The party members like to banter and talk to each other so there is rarely a dull moment when you are just walking around completing quests. For a completionist like myself, you will be playing for a very long time. I was in the very first areas for almost 30 hours and still had more to do let alone start new areas. There are several types of varied environments from swamps, to deserts, to snowy mountains to explore with lots of random loot and enemies scattered about. For people that like being overpowered, you can achieve a near godlike status with many powerful abilities but for those looking for a challenge, Nightmare mode is certainly worth a good challenge

I ordered DA:I online from the bestbuy website and it was shipped to my home on release day around 3:00. That alone was excellent. As to the game itself, I have played for a few hours now and its been great entertainment. The character creation tools are really spot on! Story and Lore are deep as well. The game feels very much like Mass Effect with Swords.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is a big improvement over Dragon Age 2. It's a beautiful game with some pretty in-depth planning to be successful. You will definitely need to set aside some time to make progress in this game.
