Too laggy on Switch

So far this game expands on the original and I am loving it. HOWEVER, the reason I'm only giving 2 Stars (otherwise I would give it 5) is the performance. The Switch is just not powerful enough to run this game. It lags and stutters SO BAD just from moving the camera around to the point where it's very jarring. Maybe Square Enix has factored in that some people may not notice things like framerate drops, but for me this is inexcusable. Admittedly, the lag is not so bad in handheld mode because the resolution drops down to 720p. So if you plan to only play in handheld mode this may be OK for you, but in my opinion it is unplayable in docked mode. I was VERY upset to buy this on Switch only to turn around and have to spend another $60 to purchase it AGAIN for the PS4! It is very disappointing because I wanted to be able to take this on the go, but I predominantly play on a TV and the performance issues are not worth it. I would highly recommend skipping this version and getting the PS4 version which runs smoothly and flawlessly at 60fps!

I love the original, this is better in every way

Give the demo a try if you're unsure. It's not just "minecraft with a DQ skin" it's more like a action/RPG/town-building sim that happens to have a world made of blocks. Super addicting once you start helping NPCs and building up the various towns in the game. It's VERY GOOD, please play it!
