DQXI had a lofty bar to live up after the wonderful DQVIII. Happy to say that the wait has been worth it. Playing with the stronger enemies draconian modifier + being intentionally under leveled has brought on a rewarding challenge. Several hours in, I can easily say DQ11 stands neck-in-neck with Persona 5 for the title of my favorite RPG of this console generation. Highly recommended.

Fans of JRPGs should definately pick this up. This will bring you back to the days of SNES/PS1 jrpgs. Anyone longing for days of playing those classics like Dragon Quest VII, any of the SNES Final Fantasy games... this brings that feeling back. I loved just about every minute of this game. Now if only the Final Fantasy team would take some notes...

outstanding gameplay...can play for hour I appreciated the return of the powerful Zoom spell which allowed me to move between locations at my leisure, but I often choose to ride my speedy horse, take in the scenery, fight some monsters, and hunt for crafting resources. I had a blast on horseback bowling over monsters who bounced of my thundering hooves like rubbery tennis ball

Game is alot of fun with great gameplay and awesome music.

While graphics and art style are charming, the game needs you grind on hours on end just so you stand a chance to not die in the first five turns.

As a fan of the Dragon Quest / Dragon Warrior (as it used to be called in the US) games, I picked this one up. The opening cutscenes were graphically mind blowing. Game play graphics are more on par with DQ8. I'm enjoying the series long monsters, and new ones, all with updated looks to them. I put about 6.25 hrs into the game when I first played it without even realizing it.

This game has a fantastic story, and great old school RPG feeling to it.

This is my first Dragon Quest game and after putting in over 40 hours already I’m disappointed it took so long for me to discover the series! The level of polish by Square Enix is impressive and the art direction is extremely charming. At first glance some of the characters and enemies look childish but give it a chance and you’re in for a fun and lengthy adventure!

As of today it’s on clearance $14. This game is your traditional JRPG. You don’t need to play the previous titles to know what’s going on. This is a great game and runs better on the PS5

Great characters, great graphics, and a great setting. The boss fights are challenging. I heard the soundtrack was bad, but I have to disagree. There's only 2 tracks that come to mind that I didn't like. I couldn't get into the voice acting though. Luckily, there's an option to turn off the voices. Would definitely recommend.

As a fan of Dragon Quest since I was a child this is a must have. The graphics a great and the continued art style over these decades is such a delight. The game play is classic with a modern take. The story length is worth all you do. The characters a fun and deep, give or take a couple. All in all it was well worth the purchase. Great for a jrpg fan!
