I've found myself getting frustrated with turn-based combat these days, but this doesn't get boring to me. The story and the world are amazing. Everything is pretty linear and it's hard to get too lost, which I actually like. I don't have a ton of time to play games anymore so it's nice when I can get from story point to story point pretty easily.

I bought this game on sale for 30 bucks. It's my favorite kind of RPG game compare to Final Fantasy and other Tales of (any names) games. I'm happy to have physical copy disc for my PS4. My internet is slow and that is why I never buy digital because it would take longer time to download. Forget digital download and buy physical instead to save my time a lot. Awesome! I heard Dragon Quest Builders 2 is come next year 2019! I hope this game don't need PlayStation plus (PS +) member similar to Minecraft and other games that don't need PS + to pay and play online. I'm prefer free over pay fees every months. My budget is tight can't buy many things. I will look to buy Dragon Quest Builders 2 when get on sale. I know this game will become world popular game that have multiple players online and coop players (2 to 4) offline. Can't wait! Excite for us! :-) Also I heard news about PlayStation 5. Good news PS5 system will able to play old PS4 games and new PS5 games (both physical disc and digital games). Same like PS1 games to PS2 system or PS1/PS2 games to PS3 system (old model that support PS1 games and PS2 games to able to play them). PS4 games will work fine on PS5 system. That's awesome!

Dragon Quest is the grandfather of jrpgs (some of you old folks may remember this series as 'Dragon Warrior' on the NES). For better or worse, DQ keeps its roots very close. You still have to manually save at churches, and combat is still turned based. But if you love old school RPGs like me, this one is a must have. All Dragon Quest games are!

What an absolutely gorgeous and enjoyable game! I’m a huge fan of the DQ franchise, so I’m not the least bit surprised by how much I enjoy the game. My only small complaint is that I wish the game were a bit less linear, but that’s me nitpicking. Jade is also hot AF. Would recommend.

Far too many open world RPG's are barren or large just for the sake of without much to do outside of the hub areas, this is not that game. DQ11 much like the game it so closely resembles (DQ8 on PS2) is a landmark achievement for the series that take classic DQ elements and familiar monsters and makes it all feel new yet still familiar.

After many years of not getting a western release of any Dragon Quest games, I am glad to say that it was worth the wait! I have yet to complete the game, but I have no issues recommending it to anyone who loves JRPGs. It looks beautiful and plays great! If you're thinking about this game at all, just buy it! You will not regret it.

This is my first dragon quest game. It started a little slow grinding solo with harder monsters (not necessary), but once I finally continued the story I am really enjoying it. There are a crazy amount of overworld monsters, so I'm not sure how many you're supposed to be fighting, otherwise it's a typical RPG.

It's Dragon quest. Dragon-ballesque cartoonish graphics, light-hearted story and characters. The nostalgia factor alone will render you a ten year old kid again. If you're a hyper-competitive, 'need to prove how awesome your e-peen is' gamer, wait for the next COD release. Want to just kick back and have an easy fun time? Here you go.

the game has to be ready to slowdown after the action/storyline you experienced WHAM!!! the game hits you with another action/storyline as engrossing or more than the last. This coupled with close to 100 hours of gameplay by me and I’m not 1/2 done from trophy list makes this game a worthy addition to one’s gaming library.

It seems like it's been forever since a great JRPG has hit (Ok, Ok, Ni No Kuni II was great) and Dragon Quest XI really hits all the marks for me. I love the visuals aesthetics - it's hard to describe, cel-shaded? Cartoony? Either way, the look of the game really distinguishes it and it runs and plays great. A+

Love this game. Much bigger then the last game and I love the open world exploration. They brought the forge system back from DQ IX. Makes getting better weapons much more challenging rather then just buying them. Really good graphics. Big jump up from the last one I played on gameboy. Highly recommend!

Dragon Quest XI is a JRPG style game, and I love it. A lot of games have drifted away from the old school turn style combat, but Dragon Quest sticks to its roots. With excellent Graphics, Game play Mechanics, and hours of fun I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a Classic style JRPG game.

I've always been a major fan of jrpgs and Dragon Quest is no exception. I first fell in love with the series with Dragon Quest VIII and have really been anticipating XI. This game features the same seamless turned based combat, beautiful stylized graphics, and a killer new soundtrack. The characters are charming, the story is exceptional, and the gameplay mechanics remain simple yet intricate. If you're a fan of jrpgs like me, DQXI is a no brainer. If you're a fan of Dragon Quest in general, then you're in for a treat!

This game is similar to DQ 8, so if you played that one, you will pretty much enjoy this one. Tons of side quests and crafting will keep you busy for a while. The story is also intriguing. Also, some of the characters will look like DragonBall characters because they are made by the same artist.
