Dragon quest is a good story with fairly basic but still solid menu based combat.

If you have played any previous Dragon Quest games, especially SNES versions, then you will get a kick out of the little things this game gives you. Even if you have not played, this is just a plain fun JRPG

The gameplay sticks to its roots and is fun if you are into JRPGs, the art direction for the game is amazing as it makes everything pop and feel lively same goes for the animation.

Really good price for a great RPG. You can also get this on the switch and it has a bit more content but its still a little more expensive than ths ps4 version. If you like Rpgs this is a great game.

The story, combat, and exploration are all par for JRPGs. Nothing unexpected, but a high level of quality across all aspects of the game. The visuals are the most impressive aspect of the game. This is hands down the most beautiful JRPG of all time! The in-game engine looks better that most other games' CGI cutscenes. Otherwise, it's a great must-play title for fans of the genre.

Before you know it, 100 hours of game time have flown by and you are still having a blast. The soundtrack leaves a lot to be desired, but the core gameplay loop is more fun than any RPG this generation.

This game is an old school JRPG at it's finest. If you have been a fan of the series you will not be let down. The game took me about 70 hours to finish and I still have more things I can do, great value.

I just started playing this and already enjoying the game play. It’s a little different than the last one, especially then battles. I have always liked these type of games and this one does not disappoint!

Unfortunately it seems like more and mroe people are ditching RPGs but the Dragon Quest series continues to deliver. The art style might look familiar too if you're a fan of Dragon Ball Z!

If you harrowing adventure with great humor, character design with great time tested gameplay, buy this game. In my opinion the game surpasses DQ7 and 8. It's so good I have nothing more to write.

Dragons Quest has been a franchise for decades much more popular in Japan. You must be a fan of Japanese turn-based RPGs to enjoy this one. It's a very long game, 80-100 hours and is very Japanese.

I enjoy RPG games and although this game isn’t the most advanced game graphically, it’s still very entertaining and a good adventure to go on. It also catches your interest from the start and you will want to keep on playing in order to see what comes next. I think you will enjoy this game as much as I do.

Basic jrpg show The Beastie cry face and storytelling will help put this back on the map this is not a must have game but a very very nice game we should all play through if you're a fan of RPGs

the dragon quest series is my favorite RPG series. This game will not disappoint. Brings classic turn based combat back. Has a lot of previous DQ Easter eggs in it too.

If you've ever played or heard great things about Dragon Quest games, this one does not disappoint. Newcomers and long-time Dragon Quest fans will have a lot of fun with it.

Back to the basics, this is all I love about old school rpg’s but with a fresh coat of paint. If you like old school rpg’s, this is a no brainer
