If you are used to JRPG's, then you already know about this series. Want a game with lots of replay value? How about 100 plus hours! Pick this up for that old school experience.

If you are a fan of the dq universe this game is a must. It’s also a solid rpg without being a fan. Reason it’s not a 5 is the issue with the soundtrack being inferior and the switch version will have more content even if visually inferior. If you only have ps4 get this version. Music being subpar aside. It’s worth having.

My wife spent close to 100 hours playing this game, exploring all she can. She is a huge Final Fantasy fan and loves JRPGs in general, so this was a sure hit with her.

About what you should expect from a modernized Dragon Quest. It doesn't fundamentally change much, but the graphics are updated and some of the gameplay systems (battle, character growth) take a few pages from other games to take baby steps forward. Otherwise it's a very old-school rpg. Two caveats. One the music is still bad. I know it's Dragon Quest music, and it's just never going to change. But that doesn't mean it's good and that it shouldn't change. It's aged poorly, it doesn't fit the scenes it's on top of. And the composer is a bigoted fascist. Just change it. The other one is that the environments are too linear, in a geographic way. 8 and 9 didn't necessary have *larger* environments, but they had wider and more open environments that felt like dynamic places. When you look at the DQ11 map, it looks pretty big ... but very little of it is walkable. All of the dots are basically just connected by thin mountain passes. After you've traversed most of the world, it begins to feel small and constraining. You'll look at that last third of the globe and realize "Oh, that's probably just a little valley." It's a bit of a bummer.

This has to be one of the better jrpg I’ve played its so much fun, and the beat part of it is you don’t need to have played the other ones to get into this one

While everyone is playing spiderman, im here play an awesome jrpg that is really worth your time. Sticks to its roots and makes it even more innovative. Really worth the money.

This gorgeous and fun rpg is just a joy to explore. Everything you look at is highly detailed and the gameplay grind isn't boring. This game will look fantastic for decades.

DQXI is a great JRPG that has enough callbacks to previous games while maintaining modern steps that the genre has established. Fun gameplay and awesome visuals round it out.

Great story and characters. Really good series that doesn't get much recognition. Overall the game is good in length and story. Great for and RPG fan.

Dragon Quest XI is a wonderful RPG. The game takes around 100 hours, but it feels like it moves at a quick pace regardless. Definitely recommended for RPG fans.

I am new to the dragon quest series and playing this game has been such a blast. Its not difficult , but the game is challenging it will keep you interested .

Great story & great characters. DQ series is always loveable by JRPG fan like myself & others. One of the best JRPG for PS4 games.

Really great casual JRPG. It harkens hack to classic DQ and even FF. Really great time if you want a good old fashioned JRPG.

This game is a classic, old school RPG. /if you are someone who enjoyed the old Final Fantasy games, you will almost certainly enjoy this game. I highly recommend it!

Totally flew under the radar for many but this is one of the most fun JRPGs that I’ve played in a really long time, the graphics are great and the world is beautiful.

This game is perfect for people looking for an old school turn based rpg. Lovable cast and the story is going good so far.

Thought this game was really overhyped but once I played it I had a lot more fun than I expected! If you're a fan of JRPG's I'd highly recommend it!

Game is amazing beautiful graphics and in 4K if you have a PS4 and 4K tv. I haven been able to put the game down since I got it. Most def a must buy.

One of the top JRPG series of all time has finally made an appearance on the current gen. Excellent game if you are a fan of traditional RPGs. Will be hard to beat.
