Good game good story fun to play and all kinds of monsters

If you love jrpgs, this is a must have. Classic turnbased and charming gameplay with an engrossing story.

Absolutely amazing series but Furt time players beware this is a jrpg. Meaning it can be a bit long and grindy.

At 40 hours in, I feel fairly confident to state that this is one of the top JRPGs. Its very similar to Dragon quest 8 and FF7 & FF12 . The polish on this game is spot on and just take a stroll through the country side is amazing. I give it an 8.8 as It's not perfect. To me seems a little to linier and far to much hand holding early on. (Ive finished dragin quest 1 thru 6, 8, & 10. I recommend the review on Forbes for a fair account of what this game offers.

DQXI is a low key, relaxing RPG. The characters in your party are incredibly entertaining and the quest is low-stakes without feeling boring. The only downside is, it might be almost too long before it starts to wear out it's welcom.

Great RPG with anime style graphics. Lighthearted story. It doesn't require fighting many random encounters.

The YouTube review videos don't do this game justice. Really great looking art style. Fun turn based JRPG.

I used to play JRPGs almost exclusively. I'm not sure, at some point either they started to change, my tastes started to change, or both. I just found myself not enjoying them as much as I used to. Not only did I stick to Dragon Quest XI to the end, I put over 100 hours on it completing post game content. I will have to say, the story was so riddled with tropes that it almost became a parody of itself, but the overall design of the game was great and combat was enjoyable (if not a little too easy). If you remember the golden era of JRPGs (SNES and Playstation era), you'll find a lot to like here. Recommended.

Dragon Quest games have been around for a long time and have always showcased the beautiful art of Akira Toriyama (of DBZ fame) mixed with a wonderful old school RPG. Dragon Quest XI continues this incredible series with the most beautiful entry yet! If you don't mind RPG's with grinding levels (this series has lots of that) you will be rewarded with an incredible game with great charecters and nearly endless charm!

The story, game play, characters and more make this game amazing! One of my favorite of the year.

Never played any games in this series, but I was looking for a good turn based combat game. (I was really about to hookup my Dreamcast to play the Evolution games) this really is a good game. I’m about 10 hours in and the story is really good. It keeps you interested. Lots of monsters to fight and items to craft. Kinda still has that Nintendo game vibe to it too.

I've never played a Dragon Quest game before but this is a fantastic game. There may be nods or ties to other games but I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. It looks great and is fun and offers challenge as well as great customization. It's a very long game so be ready for that.

Really great game and story but the only short coming if it be that is that it uses old sort of rpg traits but that is it. The rest of the game is fantastic. That is the reason for 4 stars! Hope this helps and GameOn!!!

Great characters and story, gorgeous and colorful visuals. This game is a treat for any JRPG fan.

Dragon Quest Xi is an interesting game. While the visuals and music are great, it relies on a clean balance between its simple gameplay and large, over-arcing story to keep players interested.
