This camera is very good for keeping an eye on your home when you are not there. Picture is very good, sound is good and the cloud recording is great (but you do have to pay for the cloud recording). All in all I am very happy with the Dropcam.

I have 2 other brand cam's but this one is by far the best all over. Mounted one indoors & one out side off of my garage using water proof mount. I can be at work or any where to check on my house & dogs. I may buy one or two more.

I purchased this camera to keep an eye on a vacation home that we have. It was very easy to set up and the app for the Iphone and Ipad work great. The picture is very good and makes us feel good about the home when we are not there.

I bought all the other cameras best buy sell and I had to return them because they were just not good enough so my last option was this little expensive camera so I bought it and it turned out to be more than what I was expecting.

For the price this cam is the top of the line. Clear and 1080p gives you a wonderful picture night and day. Use it to watch your pets or security makes this cam great to own.

I highly recc. this camera. It was a snap to hook up and use. Checking in on the kids and babysitter is very easy. Small footprint. I wish Dropcam Pro had an outdoor camera.

All except the annual fee this is an excellent camera. Easy to set up. Need to be able to download video to dvr.

Comes with different features. Only problem i have is how it sends alerts when the the amount of sunlight changes drastically. Good night vision camera and the ability to set zones around the area you are monitoring is also convenient.

I love my Dropcams! They are brilliant devices and ridiculously easy to setup for your home or office. Video quality is off the charts and lots of ways to config for various purposes. My only complaint continues to be not having the option to only record when activity is recognized instead of 24/7 recording. I'd be using Dropcams for a lot more things if adding add'l Dropcams didn't soak up all my upstream bandwidth.

The Dropcam is the best camera for around the house videotaping. I watch the children when they come in because the DropCam sends me an email when activity is detected. The setup is super-easy. It has really changed my life!

I bought this Camera initially as a baby monitor, it turns out to work great. So I also purchase another one to put at the front door as a surveillance camera. Would be great if it is a little cheaper and is weather proof

After several days of research and trials. This is by far the BEST! Crisp HD picture and sound. Only feature I would add, would be the possibility of local recording.

I take care of my 82 year old grandmother and because I have I started to look for a good camera setup I could have around the house so when Im not at home I can check in the common areas of the house to make sure she has not fallen down. We have setup Dropcams in my Office Living room Kitchen and garage. Whats really good is the connection time video and two way audio. Whats bad is the video recording. Ive used other cameras that allow you to record the video to your iPhones camera roll but not the Dropcam. If you need to record you will need to signup via there service that becomes pretty expensive when your using multiple camera setup. The motion detection allows for me to know when something is happening so even without recording I can just jump right to the video feed. Im guessing if someone was to ever break in I could take a bunch of screen shots but Im hoping they lower the price on the DVR service. I think if your looking for a quick and easy way to secure your home via video the Dropcam is the way to go. Mostly because I like how well it works with iOS.

Excellent video quality, web and mobile apps are great. Alerts keep me informed about who is at my front door, who is walking into my home office, etc. Great for parents, pet owners, and people who want to feel safe.

I have previously purchased security cameras from several vendors, all of which have had occasional problems because of spontaneous disconnects from our home wifi. Some of these issues require someone to disconnect the power to the camera and reboot. This requires someone to be physically present to restart the camera, which means that the use of the camera is lost if one is away for a while. I have only one Dropcam (so far) and it was the easiest camera to set up that I have ever purchased and it has never lost its wifi connection (about 2 months, so far). I plan to buy additional Dropcams.

Good device. Did break in about 2 weeks but Dropcam replaced it. Their customer service wait time was excessive but effective. The product is good, it does what advertised. Night vision, view etc... all worked as advertised.

It does exactly as stated! We use it because our home is currently on the market and this camera is discreet, has great sound and most importantly we can clearly see the faces of those gracing our humble abode!

Set up was a snap. I was looking in and recording events in about 5 minutes. The only sticking point is the same for all web based cameras . . . the speed of the connection. If it is streaming good, everything is like wine. If it is slow, there are problems. I seldom have them and I am able to look down on my boys doing homework after school from my office . . . or driving down the road!! I can talk to them too. This is a no brainer if you are in the market for this style of tech.

Bought DropCam Pro to monitor pets. Works great. For indoors only since generates heat at cameral head and 90 degree limitation recommended. Love the 8x zoom, even if the clarity reduces quickly. Bought 2.
