Would have been 5 star - but its a bit pricey. Its a great wifi camera and the 2-way microphone is awesome.

I wanted the Dropcam so I could see how my cat was doing while I was away. The Dropcam was very easy to setup and worked fine right from the start. The iphone app also worked perfectly. Notifications were received whenever there was movement. The app also turns notifications on and off when I leave home or return. I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it. I also like that you don't have to subscribe long term to the storage. You can sign up for one month when you are going to be away if that is all you want to do.

I am very happy with the camera. We were traveling to London and could keep an eye on our dog and dog sitter in California. It was great. The ability to talk to them was awesome also.

The DropCam Pro is a significant improvement on the original DropCam due to its HQ HD imagery and long zoom. Sets up in moments and can be viewed from any computer or smartphone (not Windows phone.) One drawback is the camera must have a good signal from the wireless router or it will disconnect/reconnect frequently. Cloud recording service is slightly pricey but will be worth it if you are away and happen to "catch a thief."

I use this camera for surveillance. It works on a wall or even placed in a window. Great product. They offer cloud recording services. Dropcam is now backed by Nest as well.

Great camera and takes great videos. The app is easy to use and useful.

I bought one of these to place in my living room and liked it so much I ended up buying another about a week later. Viewing through my phone while at work or out of town is very convenient and gives me piece of mind.

I purchased this video cam to view my new granddaughter in her crib. It has a very sharp picture during the day and a clear picture even when the room is dark. My daughter keeps an iPad plugged in on a stand in the kitchen and can continuously view the room and hear any activity using the Dropcam App. I highly recommend this product.

One of the easy cameras I've found to set up. The Iphone App seems to work well with the camera allowing me to keep tabs on the home while I'm away. Picture quality is ok, thus the only reason for not giving it 5 stars.

I was a long time Foscam fan but recent hardware issues and wi-fi issues (coupled with bad support on their end) forced me to relook at my home security and baby monitoring camera's. A friend turned me onto DropCam and i am SUPER impressed. Even as a tech guy this is just easy. Fast setup, great HD video. Prompt alerts and having the added recording capability is so nice. I will be replacing all the cameras in my house AND adding to what i already have. I cannot recommend this camera enough.

He loved it! Works better than expected for their slow country internet. He can check on the house form his phone at any time and even use it to talk to anyone that's there. Great for when he is away for work.

This camera is easy setup. The picture is very clear. It looks good and very small.

I purchased my first Dropcam Pro after reading reviews and trying some other brands. I installed my first camera in about 10 minutes including unpacking the camera. The image quality is excellent, but you need >500k "upload" speed on your broadband circuit as a minimum. Some DSL circuits could be marginal. Night image is also excellent, but not through glass. If you point it out a window with the IR illuminators on the glare washes out the image. This would be true with any camera. There are quite a few options available and I assume more will be added over time. "Cloud Video Recording" is a bit expensive, but not when compared to mid-level surveillance systems. I now own four of these cameras. I had one camera fail quickly after installation and I had to return/replace it. The other four have been fine. While removing the failed camera from my Dropcam account, I stumbled on a bug in their web software which necessitated a call to customer service. I had to hunt for the phone number, but the service was very good and I was fully satisfied with the outcome. Overall, I really like these and wish they had an outdoor model.

Far better than the original, which I also have. Night vision doesn't work through glass…i.e. mounted inside facing outside. The infrared reflects off of glass and creates a glare. Other than that…it's cool.

I have 2 homes that I monitor using Dropcam that I can view anytime, where ever I am. Also useful for monitoring nannies and children. Also useful night time mode and alerts on sounds and movements with notification.

Very easy to install and use. In addition to having to subscribe to cloud to actually record, 2-way talk could be improved. You have to press the microphone to talk and then press again to hear. Unless the person on the other side knows to pause a second, you end up missing a few words if having conversation with someone on other side of camera. They should do like Samsung where you have to press continuously to talk and release to automatically hear. If they improve these 2 features, would be 5+.

This is something every home and business should have. My clients use it to make sure things are safe during off hours, and my parents use it to check on staff. Works fabulously. I gufgly recommend it

This device makes my wife feel very secure and as a result I am happy. I bought one initially and now I have three of them!!! With CVR recording, I could monitor my. House when I am on business trip.

Best camera monitor I've ever purchased. So happy...wish I would have purchased this a long time ago. Trumps any other baby monitor on the market!!!

The camera is great. Nice resolution but updates break the app. I've been hoping that since the acquisition by Google they will integrate better with the nest suite but much has changed so far. Actually got an email encouraging me to make a nest account and link the two but this doesn't really give you any new features just two programs. I hope they bring the two together nicely someday soon. Maybe I should give 5 stars for the review of the camera but 3 for software.
