    Easy to work with, very very poor wireless range

    The dropcam pro was easy to set up and get going on my computer within 2 minutes. Test using it was great though there was a small delay from motion to monitor. The dropcam pro became unusable when I moved it more than 2 rooms away from the wireless router. It continuously loses signal strength even up to the next room from the wireless router. After 2 rooms, it had a difficult time staying connected and video integrity dropped to the point where the camera could not find the wireless router anymore. This point was reached after 25 feet. Will work if you have a very small house or keep the camera in the same room as your wireless modem/router.

    Technology is old and not updated

    I have 3 dropcams and initially I was really in love with them. Then....they started going off-line from time to time for no reason. Then...they wouldn't come back on-line unless I unplugged them to restart them. Then...there have been no improvements made since I purchased several months ago. I'd be careful....I was going to buy another and now I am looking for alternatives.

    Does not work as advertised

    This is a neat product and a great idea, but unfortunately, it does not work as advertised. Once the camera is in place, you can define activity zones, and it is supposed to alert you when there is motion in the activity zones. It also is supposed to detect when there is motion outside of an activity zone. That way, with the cloud video recording service, it highlights with different colors when there was activity inside an activity zone our outside the activity zones, and you can quickly review that footage. However, I've found that very frequently it does not detect any activity at all, none inside or outside the activity zones, when there is very obvious activity happening. I tried calling Dropcam support, and their suggestion was to try rebooting the cameras; I rebooted them, but that was futile at resolving the issue.

    Motion detection alerts not instant

    Nice camera but what a joke when it comes to motion detection. It only sends you push notifications and/or emails every 30 minutes. So essentially someone can come into your house and take what they want but Dropcam won't notify you there has been motion on the camera for 30 minutes. Not only that but you would be lucky to get an alert in 30 minutes. Some alerts didn't come through for an hour. They want you to pay $9.99 for this type of service? No thanks. What a joke.

    Great camera but I"M RETURNING IT - Requires a subscription of $9.99 or $29.99 per month. Doesn't tell you this on outside of box.

    DOES NOT DETECT MOTION RELIABLY AT ALL

    When a camera says "motion detection" you would assume a warm body walking past the camera would activate it...NOPE. Been on the phone w/ tech support for 2 days and the best they can do is add me to a list of known incidents. They even admit there's an issue with the motion detection but have done nothing about it. Read other forums, this has been an ongoing issue, don't just take me at my word. Look elsewhere, this camera is an expensive sham

    Does NOT send instant alerts! Sends every 30 min!

    BUYER BEWARE! This camera is advertised to receive "Intelligent Alerts - Receive notifications for motion and sound". But it DOES NOT send/receive these alert notifications instantly. It sends them EVERY 30 MINUTES! This is absurd and completely useless for a security camera. In 30 minutes the bad guys will have cleaned you out and left! I bought today, will be returning today.

    Nice Camera, iPhone App Crashes

    I purchased another camera, could not even get it to work. Returned to BB and bought the dropcam pro. Setup on my PC, as instructed. Camera and web access were great. Then I installed the app on my iPhone 5. Very frustrated, when I log on to the app, it opens and immediately crashes. PLEASE FIX. This camera would be 5 STARS if the app worked.

    Love the camera, hate the two way talk feature! If you are trying to communicate with someone....good luck because it is not comprehend-able, sounds like a muffled cow. I will be returning this product.

    When it works, its good. However, it constantly goes offline even though wi-fi signal is strong. If you're using this to monitor your home look elsewhere. Customer service leaves a great deal to be desired.
