The improvements on the sensitivity for the analog sticks and trigger buttons are very noticeable- and the addition of the visibility of the light bar accent at the top of the touchpad is a definite bonus! The are no negatives to the controller itself, but if you plan to personalize the controller with aftermarket "modifications" then you should realize that the internals are different and you'll need to get parts specified for this model number.
