After years of refining an already elegant controller design, Sony tries to reinvent the wheel and it comes out in the shape of a square. Over-delicate trigger buttons have broken on two of my four controllers with moderate-hard use, resulting in a button that sticks in place and makes some games unplayable with them. Soft rubber gel covering analog sticks wears off within a few months and is not user-replaceable. Third party "pads" are available but get slick with sweat and slippage becomes a huge problem. Controllers are bluetooth, which is both good and bad. Bad because supporting four controllers means no ability to support bluetooth headsets; good because you can jack in any wired headset with a 3.5mm connector and stream game/chat audio through the controller. Touch pad is fine but under-supported by any of the titles I've played. Controller light bar causes severe battery drain. It's dimmable but still should be allowed to be disabled. It's really only used by the Playstation Camera anyway, so there is no real good reason not to be able to turn it off if you want to. Dualshock 4 a black eye on an otherwise great console from Sony. Another case of Sony trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

I purchased this controller for my husband, and he absolutely love it. He has dropped several and the controller has not broke or stop working for any reason. This is definitely work the money it is a great product.

The dual shock is what I needed. My old one was on its last leg.

I bought this controller for my son and it absolutely love it. He play his play station with it all day and night. I would definitely recommend this item.

Let me start by saying the PS4 controller is excellent, as usual. The only real quality issues I've had is the joystick on one controller being slightly misaligned, and that's a typical issue with most controllers. My only issue with this controller, however, is that it shouldn't cost more than the standard black model. Sony, why? Anyway, it still looks great with my white PS4, and my imported white PS Vita TV.

This standard black ps4 controller definitely gets the job done for gamers who don't care for what color their controller is. The low price is what drew me to buy this controller and it has been a great investment.

What more can you say? This is the best controller Sony has ever released. I needed a second one for another player but the one that came with the system is still in great condition. Price is pretty high though.

Great Color and Great Quality. Sony Product is the only Proper Controllers. But did you see that Green Aftermarket Controller???...... Yeah... but it sucks. Sony All the way.

Stsndard PS4 controller by Sony and this means that it works exactly as it should every time even in the hands of crazy 9 year old boys. I didn’t want another illegal knockoff from the interwebs.

It is undoubtedly the best controller that you can get for your PS4. Got it for a super cheap deal in Best Buy on Black Friday. Absolutely loved the item and the deal provided by Best Buy. Go ahead and buy it hands down!

I imported the Dragon Quest XI special edition PS4 from Japan about two years ago. Unfortunately that controller didn't last as long as the one from my original launch model PS4 controller. This is also my 2nd Magma red one. So far this one is working really well but the one I bought in November ended up with really bad drift.
