There's nothing mechanically 'different' about this controller versus the other official Sony DualShock 4 Wireless Controllers that are available. This is the new generation so it has the annoying backlight, yes. And I still don't understand the gimmick behind all of the touchpad nonsense, especially as a disabled gamer. However, the frosted, semi-transluscent outer shell makes for an aesthetically pleasing alternative to the 'bright-white' options that are typically seen. And seeing as the black controller option has, well, black buttons and inputs, this is a *huge* upgrade in the visibility department. By providing a high-contrast between the controls and the body, the controller is now *significantly* more accessible than the controller that was shipped with the PS4. I threw some of the lowest-profile KontrolFreak grips on the thumbsticks and I'm actually able to use this thing for a couple of hours before my hands start having issues. The DualShock 4 definitely seems to be better than the XBox One controller in that department. I was specifically on the prowl for a DS4 controller I could actually see the controls on. I was thrilled that there was an alternative to plain white or grey for that option. This is an extremely visible option that looks fantastic. If the colors on the right-hand buttons were just a little bit lighter in color, it would be perfect.

I originally bought my 1st Playstation 4 pro last month, it only had one controller. I usually like fighting games (Marvel vs Capcom) or NBA 2K, so i needed an extra controller. Lucky, i found this controller on sale (-$10 off). It has been working great! I just charged it up and get ready to play when i get home from work. The controller feels sturdy and looks good. I bought a charging station and boom you are set for playing. I recommend it.

Sony’s controller still beats out most controllers in quality and functionality. Even modded controllers, just get some controller accessories like thumb grips and a back button attachment. With the cost of the DualShock 4 and accessories it’s still a better value than 3rd party pro controllers that run in the $100s price range.

PS4 dual shock red is a great color, feels great and works well.

I have to say these controllers are phenomenal, from the quality (no rough edges or gaps, high quality finish) to the speaker hays built in and the touch pad. The only gripe I can give this controller is the battery could last longer imho but it still last for about four-five hours of gameplay but it does give you plenty of heads up when it's dying. Also not having to use batteries is a bonus, I recommend buying a charger stand also.

What can I say about this controller? It's your standard PS4 controller but in a white color. The quality is as great as the standard black controller or the other different colored controllers. Feels just as good in the hands and the buttons are still nicely placed. Definitely will hold up for you. Definitely recommend.
