If you got a new PS4 you only get one controller anyway so you’re going to need one of these take my word for it and don’t get An after market controller!

They are pricier than generic brands, but you get what you pay for.

Don't go with the cheaper generic controllers. Stick with the PS4 official gear, but be ready to pay a premium price!

Best Sony-released Controller Ever

The motions sensors are much improved over the DS3. Vastly ergonomic. We like the share buttons for Twitter and Facebook - Be aware that they can be disabled by game developers at certain areas of the game so you don't share spoilers!

The tag on the sales floor still had the sale price but id been informed the sale was over by an electronics employee. They gave me the controllers for the sale price anyway because of their error. They work perfectly.

Great controller

But I have to admit one of the reasons I purchased this one is because my original DS4 started making character walk forward when I pressed L2. The one I bought does not do that, so that's good, but I'll update my review if it does it again.

Super solid piece of technology. All the parts work really, really well. It is a huge improvement over the PS4 controller. Super responsive and attractive too. The thumb pads will wear out after a year, but replacements can be available on ebay.

Everyone needs a second controller

This one is identical to the one that came with the console, so it's a great fit. This way both players are on equal footing - and - there's no fighting over controllers (for those of you with kids, you know what I mean). :)
