Great improvement over PS3 controller

The biggest improvement is that it is bigger than the PS3 controller, so it fits a typical American's hands much better than the PS3 version which was the same size as they released for Japan. The touchpad does get in the way at times, which can be irritating, since most games I've played use the touchpad as nothing but another button. I would suggest going with official PS4 controllers above other brands. One reason is because they often require extra dongles, like a Bluetooth USB piece, since they're not written directly to the PS4 Bluetooth.

Responsive buttons, but battery drains fast.

The buttons are responsive, and I haven't encountered any drifting sticks, the battery life is the only negative I have encountered with this model.
