The rubber on the sticks has been much improved and the battery lasts a bit longer. Other than that it is virtually the same. Between the 2, I would choose this newer one.

If you haven't yet upgraded from the PS3 to the PS4 you will be surprised with the new features of this controller. I especially like the touch pad like feature that makes text entry very easy.

My favorite controller on the market
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Dualshock 4 design is in my opinion the best design for a controller ever made. It just feels great in my hands, I like the touchpad and being rechargeable out the of the box is pretty sweet. I tend to get close to about 6 hours worth of battery life after every fullcharge and I do not dim the light sensor on it. The only downfall I have had with my Dualshock 4s is the R2 trigger button and so I got the 2 year warranty on this one just in case, but I also use my controllers very heavily and have only broken 1 since I got the console.
