Denis Villeneuve adapts Frank Herbert’s Sci-fi epic for a modern day audience. Amazing visuals, great acting, fantastic setting and costume design. This is a great film for any fan of science fiction to watch. I cannot wait to see Part 2.

I watched originally on HBOMAX and decided I wanted it, Excellent sound in ATMOS and great visuals in 4K I think the 4K is far better on disc than HBO. I've read all the books and this is closer than the SciFi version or the 1984 movie

Very good movie! Saw this in the theaters and later on had Best Buy points to use up or lose so I looked for a movie to buy. This was it! No second copy yet, that I know of (see my other movie review if you're wondering about 2nd copies :)

Hands down the best thing going for Dune is the stunning visuals from beginning to end. Director Denis Villeneuve compiled a beautiful collection of scenes that are truly a sight to see. One thing you’ll notice is how the cinematography seamlessly compliments so many elements in the film. Dune is so masterfully shot, that you could watch this movie on mute and still be entertained. Unlike the original film and the TV series, the plot was easy to follow. Despite the dense, sci-elements in the story, I appreciated the focused approach on only one group/family. It was helpful to explore this fantasy world and all the cool technology through the perspective of just a few characters. As a result, it doesn’t take long to have a sensible grasp of the underlying politics and motivations of various characters.

Wonderful experience dealing with Gabriel online. Made my experience nearly painless. Delivery was flawless and certainly impressed with the shill and knowledge of the delivery personnel.

Excellent first part to the Dune book. The source material is very dense and a difficult book to adapt to the big screen but Denis Villeneuve does a magnificent job. The legacy if this adaptation will be determined by part 2 but this sets everything up for an epic conclusion.

This movie is fantastic. From the soundtrack, to the picture, or the story; it holds up great in the sci-fi movie catalog. It's unfortunate that we couldn't get a timely back-to-back filming schedule due to executive decisions to withhold filming part 2 to see how well part 1 would do. I know the movie was well received and should be able to keep hype up, but I think if they just kept the faith and filmed on-time as the director wanted; it could help make the series shine even more. It's also sad to not see IMAX format scenes included, but perhaps that will be released in a director's cut edition. All other aspects of the film (sound, picture) are very well done. The regular copy was flawless otherwise. Just wish the steelbook wasn't plagued by issues (damages, missing discs, missing digital codes)

Stunning SteelBook case. Arrived safely packaged in an appropriate sized box with padding. This is literally my first SteelBook purchase and I couldn't be happier about it. I'm glad I preordered but understand the frustration everyone has about the incredibly limited supply and scalpers taking advantage. Hopefully retailers find a way to combat the aftermarket.

Awesome movie in 4k in a sleek looking steelbook to boot kind of lucked out finding it in the store. Super excited about direction be taken to spread out the amount of content surrounding Dune storyline

Good movie, will see what part 2 is like if it ever comes out.

This movie is breathtaking and the bluray is great. The menu is lovely on the bluray. One complaint, but small is that the dvd's menu is literally just a jpeg with buttons and looks like a sad after thought. However, I only wanted the bluray so it is no problem.

This update of Dune is simply beautiful, both visually and sounds. Epic direction, and strong acting performances. Do not hesitate to watch. Try to watch on big screen and a nice sound system to get the full impact of this movie.

I've never read the book or seen the first movie made in the 80's. I quickly became hooked with this story and the vastness of the worlds . The steelbook looks beautiful. This is one of the best 4k movies that you should own.

Love this steelbook, can't wait for the 2nd film to come out to see if Best Buy gets in a companion Steelbook that matches this one well. Great 4K disc as well. Great sound and picture!

better visionary than the first. actors excellent. Zindaya marvelous. only issue is the WAIT period for Part II. would've waited to buy with Part II as it will most likely be sold as a Set. Price was ok to go ahead with purchase.

Visually awesome depiction of this science fiction classic. Can't wait for the follow-up movies. Definitely worthwhile viewing in 4K or BluRay. And the soundtrack...wow!

this movie is one of the best I've seen in the last decade. if you are a fan of the book, of sci fi, or good filmmaking in general this is a must own. even better if you can get the 4k - the sound is incredible

Such a good movie way better looking than the original movie the casting was good that Hans zimmer soundtrack was so awesome for the movie. The steelbook looks good and came in perfect keep up the good work

This was a gift for my 70yo mother who actually teared up when she saw it. One of her favorite book series and movie. To receive a copy on bluray in such a beautiful, unique case was a joy for her.

A wonderful steel book for a beautiful film. In every way, Dune is one of the more flawless movies we have been lucky enough to receive in the last 10 years. If you can find this steel book, grab it.
