    Good fantasy audio and visuals is great but too much intro on characters maybe part 3 will have much more action.

    Unfortunately, I didn't know that this was "Dune...Part 1". Disappointed that Maud 'Dib didn't ride a sandworm in part 1. But GREAT visuals. Going to win the Art Direction Oscar for sure. Pay attention to the amazing vehicle constructs. And of course, the 4K version has superior sound. You may want to turn your soundwoofer off...the deep bass is excessive.

    A very interesting story. I have not read the books or watched the 80's version, so they have no influence on my reaction. However, it did feel like this was very much an "appetizer" and I'm hoping for the main course. This definitely has trilogy, or even quadrilogy, potential. Visuals are stunning and sound design is about as good as I've experienced.

    I gave this a good rating but believe this is one of those sci-do movies that people will either love or hate. I read the book years ago and enjoyed it. That being said, I watched this with other family members who found the storyline confusing until it got closer to the end. After 2.5 hours this is Part 1 of 2. It’s a little slow and methodical. The acting is good and the sets and cinematography excellent. I would suggest you read the book before watching the movie so it makes more sense immediately and you appreciate it more.

    Words can't describe how much better the 4K Bluray's video and audio quality vs. HBO Max's streaming quality. It's not just the video, the audio itself (if you're using Dolby Digital and not Atmos) is dramatically superior. This is as close as I can get to a Dolby Cinema experience at home, with an OLED screen and a non-Atmos Sonos system.
