After watching Blade Runner 2049 I was instantly a fan of director Denis Villeneuve. Going into Dune I knew next to nothing of the source material I just knew it looked like a good big budget sci-fi film. And I was right I didn’t see it in theaters but watched it on HBO Max a film like should be enjoyed on a IMAX screen. I hope when Part 2 releases they do a double feature I would gladly watch both films back to back.

One of the best movies in recent years. A must watch!

Excellent Movie!! Great acting and action sequence

I made an on-line order with store pickup. Upon arrival, I saw a sign near the front door ref. curbside pickup. As I was reading, an employee offered to go inside and bring me my order. Even before I was able to park in the handicap parking, another employee was bringing me my order. Fantastic service.

Good movie, kind of slow at the beginning but good. Hope the second part is better. I saw this in 4K and decided to pick up the 3D instead. I had high hopes for this to be good but instead the 3D was meh. They just added depth. I was hoping the fighting scenes with the shields up will be great in 3D but no, it disappoint me t it looks better regular. If you're a fan of 3D and want to keep continue building 3D collection like me yeah get it why not but if not you can skip.

Gorgeous steelbook presentation for Part 1 of Denis Villenueve's epic DUNE. It doesn't happen often but with this steelbook, you get not only a terrific wraparound image on the exterior of the steelbook but there is another one on the inside. Well worth picking one of these up for your collection if you can find it.

Dune is meant to be Dune Part1 and it very much is that. It is a story of a political/military game of chess in the far future of humanity. Taking places 10,000 plus years in our future after rouge AI and mad Titans tried to wipe out humanity. Of course none of that is really mentioned because it's backstory.

Nice movie of this universe. Hoping that possibly future movies do an even better job.

Great movie, can't wait for the next installment part to be released

Visually stunning, a very close observance of these complex books. Having said that, no film could convey all of the background supplied in the quotes that precede each chapter in the books; also slight liberties were taken with the plot. I really enjoyed the adaptation, I think by far the best attempt yet.

Enjoyed it but was a little slow. Waiting on second part!

The original book DUNE by Frank Herbert was exceptional and made for compelling reading. However, the 1984 film was difficult to follow and was plague by a number of production, cost issues and creative differences and it bombed in the theaters when released in December 1984. Dune 2021 is far better and today we have the CGI to make the film better and more interesting. A very good film, but not a great film. I still hope we see a sequal in the near future.
