For anyone who enjoyed Dead Island, this game is a great open world game with similar elements. The mechanics of crafting and leaping around the ruined city are fun, although the story could be a little stronger.

If you are a fan of the walking dead and want to keep the genre alive Dying Light may be the game for you. You can either play as a hunter or the hunted depending on game mode. Great fun especially on multiplayer

Dying Light is a good game, It looks good and has a great amount of content. But there are some bad points. The most glaring is that the game is clearly geared towards co-op, if your playing solo its much harder than if you even have one other person playing with you. Another gripe I have is that I don't really like the leveling system and the available upgrades. Sorry but most of the upgrades are simply attacks or new parkour moves that I don't use because it's a good way of getting yourself kill, damage increase for those attacks, or negligible health increases allowing you to take two more attack before you die. Like Dead Island it's a good concept but it has some problems that I hope get fixed in any future sequels.

I'm only about 15% thru the storyline, and have to admit this is definitely a fun title, with just the right amount of challenge. Having the Co-op play, only makes it better..Super graphics and a lot of zombies.

Simply, the graphics are decent as far as the terrain and effects, but the character detail is still not as good as it should be for a next gen. The game is fun, but the multiplayer, especially as the zombie sucks even if fully leveled up as my character is. Unrealistic purple uv lights that never run out, and can shoot through walls and for as much as two city blocks give a hugely unfair advantage against the zombie hunter. Playing as a human at any level is a cakewalk for anyone with average gaming skill. Over all, it's ok, but just ok.

Other than starting out part of the game I have yet to do much solo. The Co-op part of the game is great, campaign can all be done in a group. I haven't had any issues with dropped games or errors yet. Night time play is scary enough that if this isn't your kind of game it may leave you breathless. (Play with a friend) strongly recommended. Only thing I can find frustrating though on the same note nice to have the challenge is how much extra effort you have to put in to move your character around. Which means greater immersion.

I though that it was kind of boring at first, since the weapons aren't as good, but once you go through the story and start to get get better weapons, it gets a whole lot better!

This game was awesome. Whenever I played my girlfriend watched like it was a movie, but she did get motion sickness because of the first person angle. Great graphics.

This is the best game I've played on ps4 so far. Great storyline I've beaten it about 3 or 4 times already. the online play is pretty fun as well.

Finally purchased Dying Light and I'm enjoying it so far, the zombies could have looked alot better though, other than that great game!!

I was a huge fan of the original Dead Island on PS3, so when I heard Techland was venturing out to create their own new IP; my body was ready! They took what made Dead Island awesome and multiplied it by 100%. New parkour elements make traversal fun and enjoyable. The day/night system with the increased intensity of zombies bring a different level of strategies for hour long play sessions. The game also runs smooth on PS4, with very few hiccups. I'd highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys the zombie genre.

I loved Dead Island b/c you could explore at your leisure and the zombies were mostly slow and dumb = relaxing fun. Dying Light doesn't have that same relaxing feel: it ups the difficulty curve. The zombies are deadlier (esp at night) and you feel pressure to keep in motion, you have boxes to fetch before the npcs get them and if you explore an area too long you will be swarmed until all weapons break. Its challenging fun full of parkour and being chased by fast and deadly zombies.

This game plays very similar to Dead Island mixed with Mirrors Edge. It's very polished and I had a great time playing it.

Great game to pass the time. Not really too difficult but the added update changed that with an optional hard mode.

I reviewed this game when I was about 3 days into it and now that I've finished it I had to review it again. It's GREAT

I love the game, graphics are good, and game play is awesome.

I have to be honest, I pre-ordered this game and started playing right after work. Beat it over the course of 4-5 days :(. Not sure why they made this so easy, but they did. I read recently that they will be releasing a hard mode.....but I don't think I want to play it again. Sadly, I think this may be a new trend.
