Don't bother buying something more expensive

Working from home with modem down the hall

Cat-6? Why Not.

I was at the back of the store and ready to just buy a Cat-5e cable when the Best Buy team member let me know that I might want to consider the Cat-6 cable (which was cheaper) by the customer service area. Technically, either 5e or 6 would have been fine for my use case. I did pause to consider why the Cat-6 cable was cheaper than the Best Buy in-house branded 5e cable, but it has worked just fine since I bought it.
