I like this paper shredder because it does not take up much space. It is powerful and shreds great for security/privacy purposes. I like the credit card feature too. It empties very easily. I use it every day and have had no problems with it. Great shredder for the price!

This is a great paper shredder! When I bought this I had a large stack of papers (and old credit cards) that needed to be shredded. I went through the whole stack with no issues. It is very easy to use and put together. There is a max of 5 sheets to shred at a time but the papers go through very quickly so it doesn't take much time to do the job! All in all great price and great shredder!

I wore out my last home shredder while organizing recently. This one is about the same, a good cheap home office shredder that suits its purpose if you are disciplined about shredding a little bit at a time instead of bulk stuff. The only thing I don't like is the credit card shredder. The way it shreds is parallel to the card numbers instead of perpendicular leaving the possibility of leaving a chunk with the numbers all together even after shredded. I tried feeding it horizontally to ensure the numbers were all separated but it nearly jammed the machine that direction with only one card being fed. So just follow its rules on the front and it works great but test to see if the card is shredded well.

For the price, this shredder has performed as expected. It is a bit noisier than other brands (e.g., Fellowes) previously used and the opaque basket does not allow external viewing of shred capacity. The cutter is a bit cumbersome for smaller hands to remove from basket as compared to other shredders used in the past. Although it is labeled as 'crosscut' it is a straight cut. While it doesn't influence my satisfaction, it seems to be a mis-representation.

Had for a year now and still shreds paper fine. Shredder lightly sits in it's 'trash can'. This results in a big mess if tipped over due to it's high center of gravity, but shreds great none-the-less.

Great little shredder for home office, needed crosscut shredder for old bills and things that I did not want lingering around, and this one is perfect, and perfect size under desk.

Works well and gets the job done. Easy to operate.

Has enough power to shed heavy paper. Also, it's good at shredding credit cards.

I have had this paper shredder for about 2 years now and I have not had a problem with it. It works fast it has not gotten stuck, I put the appropriate amount of paper in at a time to shred and it works very well. I would recommend it to anyone who has a lot of paper to shred.

I have had many shredders in my life and they all seem to break after a session or two. I have had this shredder for months and it still works as if it was brand new. It delivers on its promises. It shreds multiple pieces of paper at once and for long periods of time. I do not find that it overheats and I would highly recommend this shredder.

This shredder was purchased for personal use. I have not had any issues - works great - even shredded credit card with no problems! Very happy with this shredder and would recommend for home use. Great price too.

I needed a shredder that would do what I wanted as well as economical in price. Didn't know much about the Dynex - 5-sheet Cross-Cut Paper Shredder when purchased but found it to be just perfect and I've had no problems with it!

We were cleaning house and going through the filing drawers and needed a shredder. This shredder worked perfectly! We didn't need anything big and fancy; this shredder is great for those documents that ever once in a while you have and need to shred! It's nice and sharp, works very well, we have no complaints.

This is a nice little shredder. I suggest if you have a lot to shred purchasing a bigger one. Good for small quantities. It shreds really quick and is easy to move around.

This is a super easy and great working standard shredder. Even though it's easy and works well it's very loud.

This is a reliable shredder for home use. It's compact so it doesn't occupy much space. I occasionally use it to shred a page or two, once for a credit card. Last night, I shredded a lot of papers for a long time and it still performed well.

When I ordered this shredder, I figured it would be so-so at best due to the low price. Boy, was I shocked! This is one powerful shredder (even better than the one I use every day at work!). I actually put DOUBLE the amount of paper than it suggested just to see how it would do (dumb idea.. I know...), but I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly and easily it chomped away at the thicker-than-suggested stack. Buy this-- you won't be disappointed (and it's super cheap! :) ) !

This shredder was a great price for the kind of shredder we needed. I use it basically to shred unwanted mail with personal information. I have had no issues with this product thus far!

I still use this and it's still going strong! This thing is one of the cheaper models but when it comes to a paper shredder, you don't need anything fancy. This is perfectly efficient and gets the job done. I highly recommend this. Years later and I still have it!
