The HDMI end was correct but my computer needed a micro HDMI on the other end, not a DisplayPort. Never assume anything is correct. I was able to easily return the cable to Best Buy and get the right one.

They do the trick and there is no loss of clarity on a 1080p monitor. I am not sure how these would be for a home theater but they are good for a home office.
