Then BB will not switch it out, offer a discount or fix it. The motor that continuously goes out on these is impossible to fix, unless you physically break the buttons on the unit to get the sleeve off.

It’s large, bulky, awkward to use and very expensive. My wife decided it was too much work so we returned it.

Not for My Hair Type

My hair was very dry and had a strange texture. Might be great for someone with a different hair type, but did not work for me. I will stick with my Dyson dryer and Corrale iron. Does a much better job.

Breaks hair due to excessive heat and pulling

It also has a bar on both sides at the top of the plates that grabs your hair. Heat and pulling combined to cause MAJOR hair breakage for me that will take years to grow back given I have very long hair! It took me several months to figure this out, sadly! Hopefully, I can prevent others from losing and frying their hair with this thing! FYI, your standard hair dryer is about 100 degrees!

Not great for short hair

Dead on arrival

The Air Strait then began flashing a warning sign and a QR code asking me to contact Dyson. Dyson support is closed on Sunday and there are no help items telling me what the issue may be or any trouble shooting steps. I returned my $500 brick.

The Airstrait is a little heavy in the hand and may require a few breaks while using. The cord is pretty heavy duty with what I'm only guessing is a transformer close to the end of its 6' cord. Also the plug is ground fault protected with the test/reset button on it. Turning it on for the 1st time required me to choose from a host of languages as well as if I want F or C for the temperature. After doing that it instructed me to press the power button. That took it to the self cleaning mode which had air blowimg out from the air holes. There's also a slide button on the side to lock the paddles together for easy storage or travel. Now the reason for the 4 stats instead of 5 is that this model is made for long hair, short hair doesn't work as well. I also have curly natural hair and even with the choice o settimgs (low and high) I wasn't entirely impressed. The paddles on the inside don't get hot so there isn't damage to the hair which is awesome. This is a blow dryer that can also straighten hair. Nice idea!

My hair is coarse/ wirey mixed with thin and it’s all over the place it’s dry but also oily somehow?!? I use my chi and frizz spray and it still puffs up in humidity. I bought the shark flex tool to see if that helped and it does but humidity still frizzes my hair. My hair is also so dense in some areas that I’m sure that’s why it’s so hard to style for humidity. I reluctantly showered when I got my package and tried it out and it felt like it took forever only to see it was actually only 20 min from wet to dry it looked okay but finally I did a final pass of cold shot through my hair and it looked shiny and smooth. I figured it wouldn’t last long since it’s humid in Arkansas but after cleaning my house and steam scrubbing grout my hair still looked amazing!!!!!! I woke up today and my hair was not greasy!!!! It still feels like I just showered! Idk what type of magic this is but I’d gladly pay the price again!!! The only thing is that now I’m going to just have to wear my hair straight because I don’t think I can style it differently with this tool. I did find out I can curve the ends in so it doesn’t look so pin straight but that’s not something I thought I’d ever say! My hair has never ever ever been this straight and sleek. That being said idk how it would work on thin sparse hair. I wish I could give this a million stars.
