Overall she really likes it, but there's apparently a learning curve to using the curler. She loves the blow dryer, but wished at this price point it would have come with a hair straightener too.

There are other much less expensive options out there that work just as great if not better. Find that I almost always end up still needing a hair straightener.

Got this for my wife as a Christmas present she wanted. Between her and my daughter they watched all the videos on how to use it and it just doesn't work at all. The hair doesn't nicely wrap around like they show. Half of it blows away as you try to corral it. The curls do not hold. Takes twice as long as a curler. The brushes also blow hair away while trying to use them. Save yourself a ton of money and run far away from this overpriced garbage. I've had mixed results with Dyson already, but this product ended any fascination we had to their marketing gimmicks. Extremely disappointed and unimpressed with this thing. It absolutely will not do anything advertised unless you spend many hours and a ton of money on hair product to help it.

The Dyson Airwrap™ Complete Styler was designed for those who want the versatility of a styler to create curls and waves, or a smooth finish. Dyson Airwrap™ wraps entirely through the use of airflow and the naturally occurring phenomenon of the Coanda effect. Air, when propelled at the right speed and pressure, naturally follows an adjacent surface, entraining surrounding air. The Dyson Airwrap™ styler creates a spinning vortex of air around the barrel that attracts, wraps and curls hair. The combination of damp hair, airflow and not applying extreme heat to hair during the drying process helps to lock in your style, whether you're looking for a straight finish, waves or curls.
The Airwrap does have a learning curve to it. For best results, start with freshly washed hair. All three brushes can be used on wet hair, but the barrels work best on damp hair. Use the Pre-styling dryer to dry hair to damp before styling with the barrels. When your hair is damp dry, it will look dry but feel cold to the touch. The strands of your hair will be separated, not clumped together.
