I bring this with me everywhere and it so so easy to travel with! It works so well on wet, damp and dry hair. It’s a little noisy but 100% worth the noise for the results. I like the curl attachment the best. For someone who never knew how to curl their hair I now am walking around with salon like curls in a matter of 10 minutes.

The Airwrap™ can deliver a variety of styles from voluminous curls, waves to a smooth finish. However, the end result varies and depends on a combination of factors – hair type, hair length, settings you use the product at or how wet the hair is before styling. If your experiencing curls dropping out, a few tips to help improve would be ensuring the hair is damp before styling, that the barrels are held in place until the hair is dry, and to use the cold shot to set the curls.
If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls. both barrels blow air same way

Not for shoulder length hair

This really is more appropriate for someone with long hair. My hair is about shoulder length and just turned into a complete disaster. Made it more frizzy than flat ironing.

However, the Airwrap does have a bit of a learning curve for curl retention and smoothness. We offer a Dyson Hair support page with tons of tips and guides for various hair types and lengths. We also invite you to use your favorite hair styling products with the machine. The Airwrap works very well with your preferred product to maintain your style and you don't need to use a lot of product like you would with conventional stylers.

This product dried out my hair horribly! I have always either blow dried or straightened my hair almost daily and my hair has never felt this dry like straw. I was so excited to try this product and unfortunately they only give you 2 weeks to return it so by the time you realize it’s not worth it, you are screwed out of your money. This company is a total rip off. If they truly believed and stood behind their product they would give you at least 30 days like any other product to return it. Do not buy it.

Posted .Hi there Claudia, this is Tia from Dyson! We are sorry to hear the Supersonic is making your hair feel brittle. However, there are a few simple steps that prevent this from happening.
There are a few different things you can do to change the method in which you dry your hair.
To begin with the unit is designed with a type of thermal control which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair; this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. In light of this, it may be necessary to use the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When applying these tips to your everyday styling you should start to see a difference in the texture of your hair. Maybe not for thin hair

However after attempting numerous times to love the end results I could not. I have thin straight hair and the curls will not stay after 10 min. The volume tools made my hair frizzy. I tried the curler on my mom, whom has thick curly hair, and it worked well for her. Returning this today :/

I finally splurged on it and unfortunately, returned it within the week. The round brush is too small for longer thicker hair. It took me forever to dry my hair. The curling iron worked as indicated. I liked that they had a right and a left side. I followed the instructions to a t however, it left my hair frizzy. I tried it more than once with no luck. I am disappointed as I really wanted to love it.

Disappointing Product

Moved onto the air wrap. The round styling tool was hard to maneuver through the hair and didn’t leave hair feeling nice. The paddles are awful, if you have any frizz to your hair and you use these it’ll look awful. None of these tools leave your hair smooth. The curling wands are pretty cool, it’s too bad you can’t get this with just those. This product is $549, I just tried another brand hair dryer/colonizer for $59 and results were amazing.

Luxurious but too complicated to use

Not worth the price
