It definitely takes a little practice to use the curling barrels but all of the other barrels are super easy to get the hang of. I like have one device that can give me so many different styles. I have naturally curly hair and can easily get a smooth style while still maintaining the volume that I love. On a side note, I honestly just find fixing my hair to be more fun using the Airwrap over a blow dryer and wand.

Pricey but worth it

I have medium, wavy to straight hair, and I love it. Most days I just use one of the brush attachments to get a mostly straight look, but even just the basic blow dryer attachment is superior to my old "high quality" dryers. I like using the round brush attachment to smooth out curly/frizzy spots, and the curler attachments are so fun once you get the hang of it. It's definitely a pricey device, but worth it if you can make good use of it.

gentle on hair

I wanted a way to curl my hair that would not be as damaging, and also looked forward to the extra volume that the airdrop was supposed to give. I have only used the curling wand attachment once but it is very easy to use and curls my hair very well. The curls are not quite as tight as I would like them, and I can't tell a difference in the volume. I am not sure the curls will hold very long either, but I'm going to stick with it because I know it is much gentler and less damaging than the alternative. I was hoping to be blown away by this product, especially for the price, and I'm just not.

With regard to curl retention, if your experiencing curls dropping out, a few tips to help improve would be ensuring the hair is damp before styling, that the barrels are held in place until the hair is dry, and to use the cold shot to set the curls.
If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls.
